Register your phone numbers with www.donotcall.gov it is capable of registering land and cell lines. Takes about 30 days for the calls to stop, but after that, if they continue, a complaint can be filed with National Do Not Call (above website). Also I agree with not supporting business that advertise this way, as well as with spam mail. We (consumers) need to be proactive and teach the companies that do this we won't stand for it.

Same issue here, so I took Freddy's advice. I called and got an answer right away. I asked the rep. if she could tell me why they were calling and was informed that it was to renew our subscription to Lowrider Magazine.

I too have received several calls from EBSCO TELESERVICE. I finally decided to answer, only to be rudely hung up on while asking to have my number removed. I never even got the entire sentence out of my mouth. I then called the 800# previously posted, and spoke with a very  polite gentleman about removing my number. He said no problem, it would be taken care of right away. We'll see.....

Got a call from this company the other day, no message. First time I've ever seen this number on my caller ID. Hope they don't keep calling!

Somebody else mentioned they called to see about renewing a magazine subscriptoin...I now recall my husband taking a call and they were asking about renewing my Shape magazine subscription. Maybe that's what this Ebsco Teleservice is about. We told them no to the subscription and they haven't called back, so that makes sense.

I have been receiving this call once a day, usually in the evening, for about one week now. I have Caller ID and NEVER answer 800 #'s or #'s I don't recognize. This 330-492-2913 is one of them. I have been a little curious but not enough to return the call to find out who is aggravating me. From reading the previous messages, I realize now that the Family Circle subscription I had already decided not to renew is what the call must be about since it is up for renewal. I have to agree with "Roy - 17 Oct 2008". I will not be renewing for sure now! The interesting thing about this call, is for the past two days, as soon as the phone stops ringing, within about 30 seconds, it rings again with the # 866-239-7234. Guess they figure if they can't get you one way, they will try another.  At any rate, I will tell them to put me on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

EBSCO Telephone 330-492-2913 has called my number everyday for the past week including Sunday.  My number is on the national do not call list.  Have they not done their homework!! I understand that they must update their records quarterly and remove phone numbers from their auto dial list if they are on the Do Not Call list or pay a fine.  Evidently the fine is not high enough to discourage companies from disturbing those that do not wish to be disturbed.

Caller didn't leave a message. Afgter reading below comments, I called them back and found out it was concerning a professional magazine subscription. The lady at EBSCO was friendly and removed our name from the subscription list. Took about 1 minute.
It would be nice if they left a message. That is the only iritating thing about this.

About 3 times a week I get a call on my machine where the dialer asks for me by name, oblivious to the fact it is a machine he or she is talking to.  This is the same group that others have mentioned above

This outfit has called every day for the last week. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. I just went to donotcall.gov and filed a complaint.All of you should do this.

Call 8 to 10 times a day for the past month and NEVER leave a message.

I had the numbers pop up on my caller id at least twice a week. I read the other postings here on this site and called the number left by Freddy (800.456.5105) and they were very polite and said they would put me on their do not call list...we will see what happens but I feel better knowing it might be resolved.

When I see their number, I pick up and ask them to stop calling - Have done this five times and the calls do not stop.

This number has been bugging my house for about a month.  I just called that 800 number asking to have my number removed.  The rep was reasonable and it took less than a minute.  He did say it would take 24-48 hours.  We'll see how it goes.  I'd advise anyone else reading to do the same and post your results.

They call at all hours but do not leave a message. How do I get them to stop calling me?

"just want them to stop calling"...posting this type of message to this web site isn't going to get them to stop; do what the other posters suggest; be pro-active, call the 800 number and ask to be put on DNC list

"there's never anyone there when I answer"...yes, there is; it's just that there's a second or two time gap between the time you pick up and the caller's computer registers that and alerts the caller; hang on for another second or two and then tell the person who will ultimately surface that you want to be put on the DNC list

This firm is a telemarketing service; they handle business from any legitimate firm, not just magazine subscriptions.  Not buying Family Circle magazine again won't affect them in the slightest.  They were soliciting me for an additional contribution for a charity donation I had made once before.

How can I possibly get these people on the Do Not Call List? They continue to call nightly and I simply do not answeer.

When I called the 492-2913 after work I got a their voicemail. I left a not too pleasant message. I received a phone call from an elderly gentleman who was very upset. Somehow Ebsco (out of Ohio) has their customer service lines crossed with his; he lives in my area code in (NJ) his carrier is AT&T and they can't figure it out.  The poor people are getting calls all hrs. of the day & night from some very upset people. When I called the 800 # listed above the woman was very polite, took me off the list and promised to see who she could talk to to help this poor elderly couple.

I am tired of these calls please stop
