I have NO idea who these people are.

They asked for me by name, first and last name on 7/18/11. No friends asks for me using my last name, so I told them they had the wrong number.

They call and say they would like to ask a few questions. Recently gave my cell number to a Camel rep for a coupon for a pack of cigs for $1. not worth them calling all the time. I Finally answered their survey and will see if they stop calling .. around same time in the evenings too

just got a call from this number...AGAIN.  i'm pretty sure this is due to me giving my info to one of the camel reps.  i was told by an ex rep that camel stores the information in a data bank and passes along the names to a few cell carriers (one being verizon) who match the data with their customers names and sell their numbers to camel to use for consumer research.  

...all i wanted was a coupon for some cheap smokes.  >:(

Yeah, Camel.  Never should have signed up with them, but I was drunk, and I wanted 1 smoke...

I got a call at 6:15AM!!!!  After staying up all night working on schoolwork (just how I wanted to spend my Friday), I needed to sleep in. However, I didn't recognize the number, so I answered in Spanish. Some b*tch on the other end didn't even say good morning. Where were her manners? She just asked, "Do you speak English?"  Silence.  "Oookaaaay..." and she hung up on me. :-)  It's only 6:40am, so I don't know if the little leeches will call back.  I have a KY cell number still, so it was 9:15am on the east coast.  I want to hunt them down and let a few hungry dogs go at them.

PEOPLE - It's not Camel calling.  It's scammers hijacking a phone number (caller ID spoofing) and using whatever cover they can think of to get your personal info.  I wouldn't be surprised if they were from India, Cameroon, or some great place like that.  I've had those calls, too, but they stopped calling when I decided to speak to them in my own foreign language, lol.

It's a research company conducting surveys on Camel Tobacco products.  They obtain your information through PR companies that give out "free" packs of cigarettes at bars/events in exchange for your ID/phone number and your signature.  I get free lighters and coupons through the mail, but this is the 1st call i've gotten from them.  I'm not a smoker, just got a cool lighter at a bar and a pack of Camel Lights.. which i gave to my friend.  They're not really bothering you.. just doing a job that you gave the OK for them to contact you.   If you dont want them to call, then you shouldn't have opted for that free pack of smoke's from that hot PR chic while you were trashed at the bar.

I got it at 6:02 pm my time.  I know all my callers on the cell phone.  It is illegal to solicit after 5:00 pm anywhere.  It is illegal to solicit on cells period.  Tell the caller that you are to report them to the do not call registry.  Oh, register to at do not call . org.  *NOTE:  I pretty sure they got my number from Craig's List.  Only place I've given it.  So many scams on CL.  They e-mail saying that they are interested.  Spam you if you reply.  Ever give your number to someone on CL.  Scams.

I've got TXU too, OMG, this is spooky.  hmm...I wonder why all these posts I have something similiar with?  It feels more like they are investigating vs. serious Telemarketers.  Like they want information.  Not to sell you, seriously Camel cigaretees DO NOT have telemarketeers, lol.  HMMM...it's a phone stalking of some kind.  I get them every once in a while.  TXU doesn't phone solcit either.  So, you see how it feels, like it more a inquiry.  However, I've learned not to call them back and to check the computer first.  Some want you to call them back, it activates more calls.   BTW if someone has your telephone number they can find out anything about you.  I never phone post, and I for sure do not give to a social media or gmail.  

Remember it's a different world.  The Mafia is an Avitar.  Gangs.  I've seen so many scams on the Internet.  From Live Kidney donation, to fake altruistic scams.

This number always calls when I am trying to go to sleep, never leaves a message and when I call it back it won't ring through. Getting tired of this number calling me!!!!

Same thing happened to me. Almost all cell phone companies have a way through your internet account to block numbers.  I think that's what we will do.

Suspicious requests for personal information. When asked who was calling caller said maybe I have the wrong number and hung up. Do not give any information!    ***STOP CALLING****

i got a call today, im only 17 and do not smoke or drink, so stop calling me

I received a call from this number at 19:45 in Colorado. They asked for someone not associated with my phone number. I stated this fact and the person at the other end apologized for the inconvenience. We'll see if they call back in the future.

Im 10 years old and they called me on my cell phone.

I have been getting calls too from this number and when I try to answer it they just hang up, I tried calling back it justs keep ringing. I am getting annoyed. I am from Minnesota. Arggg....stop calling me if you have nothing to say to me...

I mean there is no ringing.
