received day time call from 352-352-0352, callid says 'Florida call'. Man on the phone (not native English speaker), says it is not a sales call and asks if i have smoke alarms in the house... I terminated the call at this point.

Have gotten two calls, first one I picked up thinking it might be husband's family, got bad English woman, sounded like a Cambodian or something, asked me if I had smoke alarms in the house, I asked her what did she say? she said they were doing a survey and got a little huffy that I questioned her question! She repeated do you have smoke alarms, I asked why did she want to know that, then told her I wasn't answering her questions , goodbye. A male left a message on my machine, it is unintelligible , sounds almost like Arabic. Tell these idiots we are reporting them, I will be calling the FTC tomorrow!

Wife got a call from this number.  Unfamiliar male voice said "[***] you" and hung up.

I have 2 lines in my house. Both registered with the National & Mass. Do not call registries.
Last night, calls on both lines asking if I have a home security system. The man had a very heavy accent. My caller ID said the call was from Florida.
I had heard about the robo call asking do you have a small dog, and people answering yes got a charge on their phone bills for a bogus order.
I thought maybe if I answered yes to this question, the same thing would happen.
The 1st time he called I said do not call several times until he hung up.
When he called on the 2nd line, I told him he has already called me. Then I said it was a business line and he immediately hung up. It's not a business line, but it got him off the phone pretty fast.

Just got a call 10 Min. ago.. a man speaking terrible English asked if I had a security system???? WTH.. I said yes my "German Shepard"  he said "what is that"  I said a large dog dumb ass"  and he hung up

Mine came across as "International".  I *hate* a ringing phone so I have my ringer off.  Caller ID shows up in the upper left corner of my TV screen (LOVE Verizon FiOS!!).  

I can track all calls online as well at Verizon's site, so I simply make a list and them report them monthly to the FCC (Verizon's authority appears to be slim to none--I can block only six number on call block).  Those who call more than once a day or call daily get reported weekly.  I also select a few choice comments from this site to enhance my complaint.  

Repeat callers after such reporting is less than 1% (and I just report them again).  I'm on the Do Not Call list.  I'm finding that to be useless because the scammers apparently are beyond the reach of it.  

My solution to all the crap going on here is to simply NOT answer the phone and NEVER return such calls.  I have a small circle of friends and we prefer to spend time together in person.  My phone is for MY convenience, not that of scam artists.

Received a call 2x.  They left a message both times.  However, u could barely hear what they were saying.  Something about if u didn't hurry your interest rate would increase.  Increase on what?

First thing out of this foreign mans mouth was this is not a solicitation call.  I told him they have previously called my and never to call my number again.  I am on the Do Not call registry so how are they still able to call?

So glad I came here-just received a call and heard a voice on the other line yelling hello from what sounded like a trading floor!  I didnt answer and let my machine pick up. Came up as international.

Called for the second time today.  selling me smoke alarms. told them to stop calling here that they already called and told them never to call again

Same story as the rest of the people. I was asked about smoke detectors and I played the role of a older man who couldn't hear.

Scammer: Do you have a smoke detector.
Old man: No I do not smoke.
scammer: no do you have a fire detector.
Old man: No there is fire here.
Scammer: Why do you want to talk like this to me(angry
Old Man: Sir I do not smoke.
Scammer: I am going to find you.
Old Man: What I don't hear very well.
Scammer: Now you want to play games.
Old Man: No Sir I don't smoke.

Scammer: I'm goingto F your wife. Hangs up.

Just called.  Didn't answer because it was a weird number.

I've never been home to answer call, just keep seeing on caller ID.  After seeing comments here, I went to do not call registry & filed complaint.  At www.donotcall.gov there's tab "file a complaint" which I do to all unknown annoyers - if we all do, hopefully they'll be gone.

Non-native English speaker called to give me the good news about qualifying for a home security system available to me at no charge from General Electric.  When I informed her I was not a home owner, she thanked me and hang up.  (Caller ID said Florida, though I doubt this very much.)

They swore at me, called me a mother f'er and said f'you. I hung up they kept calling and hanging up.

Got a call from this number this morning. A male with a heavy accent told me that he was with GE security systems, and he had good news for me. I had been selected to receive a free security system! I told him that I had good news for him, that he had been selected by me to get hung up on.... which I promptly did.

If you can't say, or your afraid to say or show, who your are, why would I want to talk to ya..  Shouldn't it be the other way around..?  Do ya think people are really that stupid?  I alway's amazed at this mentality.
