Received a call from this number at 5:34pm.  Didn't pick up. No vmail and googled out of curiosity and saw this website pop up.  Awesome idea.

My phone rang twice and then they hung up, no message

These jerks called my cell phone and hung up.

i just got a call from 401 648 0571 and there was nothing on the caller ID and when i answered it there was nobody on the other end,so I hung up and goggled it. In my humble opinion it
is an 'Angel' making prank calls because he or she is Bored !
I get them alot from alot of 800 type calls.I think that they are letting us know that the good guys (Angels) are watching and another Spirit might be checking YOU out ! Tell your Guardian Angel to go on alert !! That's an order!! I say it this way because Your Guardian Angel will be reading this too.

I got a call too. Glad it was a telemarketer because I missed the call.

I got a call from 401-648-0571 with some generic pop culture question ("What's up with Chris Brown?") ... you can go to their website and "block" your number but I don't see why people would trust them with confirmation of their phone number.  I wanted to see what the hell it was about so I listened to the end - there was an ad for "predicto mobile" then in repeated and hungup.

30 seconds later I got a text message from 654654 (Predicto mobile apparently) which said something about my account not being able to sign up for "premium services" ... that was verizon not having my authorization to sign me up for their $9.99/month crap spam service (good on you Verizon).

I reported the facebook application for HeyCosmo / Prankster to facebook staff.  I suggest others do the same.

This is apparently also related to Predicto mobile, which apparently you can stop from texting you by replying "stop" to 654654.

I called Verizon who seemed to be aware of the problem immediately.  They suggested texting "stop" back to 654654. "They're usually pretty good about stopping when you do that, we obviously don't like them doing it because we get tons of calls about it."

Verizon customer service was super helpful.  
Verizon: "Yeah, they try to charge $9.99/month and sign you up for their "services""
ME: "That seems insane"
Verizon: "Certainly we don't like things like that here either.  We can stop any premium subscription services like that in the future if you'd like."
Me: "Should/can I file a complaint with the FTC?"
Verizon: "You can, we think they should be illegal too, there are some text messing services that are legit (i.e., American Idol voting - $0.99/text).  But these ones that get you in under the radar, boom on your bill suddenly you get a charge on your bill.  There's not much we can do about it, complain if you feel like it, that might help."

I got a call from this number at 3:13 p.m. 4/15 and missed the call.
Because I don't know anyone in the 401 area code, Googled the numver and glad I didn't return the call. I had a problem with a similar call earlier in the year that was soliciting newspaper subscriptions. I have no clue what these people were selling.

Called me at 1:06 pm.They better not call again.

Just got a call from this number, they hung up before I could have answered (wasn't planning on doing so though).  Googled the number, came up with this site.  Glad I didn't pick it up now.

i got a call from this number at 9 am... i dont know anyone from rhode island.. im from CA...

Hey all, I got a call from that number last night and called back to find out it was the Hey Cosmo recording... to make sure I did not get charged I called USCellular and they saw no charge.  They made a note on my acct that they would credit the $9.99 charge or the $30 charge that I heard about if one did show up. I asked them to block all premium texts period so I would never get a charge from any of these scams (but heads up it blocks out all premium txts that cost $ such as American Idol, horoscopes, etc).  I know USCellular does not give their customers numbers to telemarketers (I used to work there). They said it was more than likely a random dial set up.  If you get the call it is worth calling your phone provider as they will (hopefully) ear mark your acct like USCellular did so you won't have to pay anything if charges do show up.
