- READ IF YOU GET CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER| 1 replyThese calls come from an Omaha Steaks outbound phone center. I'm a person who makes these calls. I'm speaking for all of the people from outbound with this message. If you don't answer the phone the autodialer will call until you pick up.
IT KEEPS CALLING YOU IF YOU DON'T ANSWER SO NEVER ANSWERING THE CALL MAKES IT WORSE
The ONLY reason we call you is because the specials we offer over the phone aren't found anywhere else, and if you wanted to buy something were really just trying to help you out.
WE GET IN ALOT OF TROUBLE (INCLUDING BEING FIRED) FOR NOT TRYING AGAIN WHEN YOU SAY NO.
If were calling you too much we can change it so it only calls you 4x a year, 2x a year, and around Christmas. We can also customize what days and hours to be called and not be called.
BEING RUDE BY INTERRUPTING, CUTTING OFF, AND CONDESCENDING US IS PRETTY MESSED UP, IF YOU DON'T WANT US TO CALL YOU JUST SAY SO AND WE WILL GLADLY DO IT FOR YOU. THERE'S NO NEED FOR HOSTILITY AND ANGER IT'S REALLY NOT A BIG DEAL.
When you tell us to stop calling, we also get in ALOT OF TROUBLE for not telling you about changing your call preferences. SO WE WILL HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT CALL PREFERENCES WHEN YOU TELL US TO STOP CALLING, DON'T TAKE IT OFFENSIVELY- Caller: Omaha Steaks
- Wyatt replies to MonicaWhenever you actually speak to one of us (I'm a guy who mighta called you before) if you say no and there's no assumption that you want to be called back about the same offer we put that as a decline and it shouldn't call you for 4-6 weeks.
However some idiots don't decline it so it calls you back like you never answered if that's the case then report it cause we lose customers for no reason cause of that - Mary| 2 repliesYou are calling in violation of the do not call list. You've been reported this morning to the authorities as being in violation. Be on notice.

- Nancy replies to Davidyou have to give your PH# when you purchase something They verify that with the credit card company
- Wyatt replies to MaryIf you are on the do not call list that doesn't mean you can't receive calls from people you have done business with before.
- RobinYes, its Omaha Steaks. I ordered from them ONE time over 5 years ago and they still call me constantly. I always answer but there is never anyone there. When I call back a recording says "Welcome to Omaha Steaks".

- Free is never free replies to NatalieYou mean, free stuff when you buy a ton of other stuff?? You're entitled to your opinion, but I, like everyone else, bought as a gift for someone. I am a vegetarian. I have NO desire to be harassed to make further purchases. Don't point us out for not being money grubbing free food victims, the end never justifies the means.

Dear Omaha Steaks,
I recently bought some products off of your site for my dad on Fathers
Day. He liked the products you provided, and I was glad to do business
with you company.
With that said, I'm sad to admit that I'm done buying products from you.
After the purchase, the contact your company tries to make with me is not
only annoying, but borderline inappropriate. I started receiving emails
daily, which I don't recall ever signing up for after my purchase. 95% of
companies I've bought products online from(and I do almost all my shopping
online) ask you if you'd like to receive updates by email. And while I
can't remember if I may have missed a box to not get them, I hate spam
email, just as I'm sure whoevers reading this does. Steaks are not the
type of product I need a daily reminder on. If I'd like to order more,
I'll order more. I know where to go.
The real kick in the face came after I unsubscribed to the newsletter.
Your company began to call me during work?! This is insanity. A repo man
or a court order server wouldn't try this hard to get in touch with me.
This is extremely poor business practice and once again, I'm sorry to say
that I plan on never utilizing your service because of this.. I don't need
a call every day to be reminded that I can order steaks online. If you
believe that I'm the only one that feels this way, you might want to take
a look at the link I've provided.

- Kerry NolanI've been receiving calls from this number once or twice a day. Didn't realize who it was until I did a google search, and found this website. I ordered from them once. It's my cell phone, and I don't pick up if I don't recognize the number, and they never leave voice mail.

I am going to try what Jim had suggested and see if that helps. It's funny that I have a home number that I can not answer due to call like this!

- johnjust so people know they are calling from a auto dialer... this means if you do not pick up your phone it automatically calls the next number on the list. the call center employees could not leave a message even if they wanted too. Also if you do answer and it hangs up the reason is because auto dialers do not put the employee on until it hears someone on the other end. normally it will take a few "hello's" then transfers it to the rep.... the rep will hear a beep and that is their que to start talking... most of the time they are already on their pitch and haven't even heard your voice yet at all

- john replies to Helenposting "please stop" on a random phone database website will not stop any company from calling you. you need to call the Omaha Steaks directly and ask them to remove your number. Most call centers are outsourced and not run by the actually company but can still remove your number. But keep in mind if you are rude to the rep and yell at the (most likely) 18 year old kid to remove your number. The best bet is they will click the "did not answer" or "call back" option on their system. Then you will be put back in the rotation and receive the same call a few hours later.
- Nicole replies to SammyJust call the number back and ask to be taken off their phone list.
- Loyal CustomerI order from Omaha Steaks very frequently and don't need a phone call reminder. I like your products and appreciate what I order, but it would be nice if you didn't call. I know when I want to purchase something and will come back online to do so. I have only 2 people in my family and the packages I order are huge and last us a while....
