They have call centers all over so you will have different numbers calling you.  I don't like the calls either but it gives some people jobs.

It's quite clear that your lender on your vehicle or the dealership where you purchased your car is selling off your info.  The only way to put an end to this is to find who is giving the info out.  My guess is that its something to do with your finance company.  I am sure they were sold on the idea that.. if they get more cars with warranty on them the client is more likely to pay the note in case of a break down.  

I do not give out my cell phone number to anyone and its also illegal to publish in a directory like the phone book a cell phone number unless you request it.  

So i would say the finance companies are to blame for giving out your numbers and they should be the ones held accountable here.  

Of course this is just my personal thoughts and nothing made in the statement of above is to be made into fact.

Called to tell me that my car warranty was about to expire. I asked them which car they were talking about and they stuttered, trying to come up with something to say.  I told them it was interesting they called as I haven't owned a car in 10 years and they promptly hung up on me.

It's a scam pure and simple.

These people called from a different number before. Calls with a recorded message stating "this is our final call" and "your vehicle warrenty is about to expire"

Last time I asked why they called my cell phone, they hung up and I just got a recording when I called back.

This time I prentended to care and asked the company name. They told me they are "Dealer Warrenty Services". Even though they claim to be in league with car dealers, they had no idea what kind of car I had, and believed me when I told them I had a 13 year old Buick LeSaber (had they heard from my dealer they would at least know I have a VW). They were still interested in talking to me about warrenties.

I am reporting them to the FCC and encourage everyone to do the same.

Got the same call here and my number is UNLISTED and I don't have a car!  Get these people to stop calling or there will be trouble!!

I don't known them and I don't want them calling me.

The company that owns the (402) 982-0679 phone number is Citistream Communications.  I've never heard of them before.

On that website they would have you believe that they're not making the calls, but merely providing phone service for clients that do.

Hmmmmm.  I don't know of too many businesses that prominently have such a disclaimer about their customers unless they know that's exactly what they expect their customers are doing.

Found out 402-982-0679 are being used by a telemarketing firm. Tele-marketing firm is a customer of a carrier based in the Midwest. Any complaints on telephone numbers starting with 402-982-0679 should be addressed to the telemarketing compliance number 1-866-708-0401 to record a complaint. They seem to take care of any complains on the telemarketing calls.

The Omaha telephone company is telephone carrier and has noting to do with calls being made. Some of the telemarkeitng firms use this carrier services.

Telemarketing firms are the ones make the calls. Calls are not coming from a carrier who is a service provider.

This is ridiculous!. I got these calls before and it got so bad that I reported the company to the FCC. It wasn't until my hubby who's a police officer picked up my cell and read these people the riot act explaining that this was harrasment and that they could be charged and prosecuted that they stopped for a while. However it's happening again with a new phone number. Here we go again...

The ba****ds keep calling my cell phone number, which I've given out to only three people.  Apparently some telemarketer trying to run up my cellphone bill if I answer their call.

continues and repeats calls everyday. calls at inappropriate times,Have asked not to call and  still calls regardless
