i was called this mornig at 10:00 and they told me i won 2600 dollars in flight money, i hung up.  the call is coming from omaha, NE. and i am in edmonton canada

i got a number from this call today. It was a recording that said "you have won 2600$ travel dollars. Press one to claim today."

I just received the same. I'm also active in trying to help keep the world on an even keel by 'alerting people', so to speak. I just made a fairly powerful post on a given forum (not that type of forum where such messages are common..so it has more power-if done right) when not 5 minutes later, I received this call. I'm curious about the nature of the people who are getting these calls, what their backgrounds are.

One way of keeping track of people's locations, is to 'ping' them by calling their cells.

The call does not have to mean anything at all-exactly like this one. They merely want the locational ping, nothing more. You don't even have to answer. And you'll never figure it out or know-unless someone brings such a thing to your attention.

I also recieved a missed call from this number yesterday morning. I did not answer and there was no message. I am also located in Vancouver, BC.

Received it and answered.  It is in spanish, saying that you won some amount of money, and to press a number now to receive your award.

It's spread to Canada - I received this missed call in Vancouver, BC.  Sheesh.

Received a call from 402-982-0710 on 9/8/09 at 7:37PM. I don't have a Latin surname.

Called my cell, no message was left. Chicago.

Just got a call. Loud ringing noise and then some Spanish speaking. If you press one you'll get some lady also speaking Spanish, I told her "No entiendo!" and she hung up on me.

Im going to keep messing with them until they stop calling. Next time Im going to place a Taco Bell order, or ask them where the bathroom is. Thats about the extent of my Spanish skills.

Recieved recorded call in Spanish.. No Idea what it was saying.

The messeges says you just won a $1,000 bucks.  Don't answer it or call back.

i think it has something to do with paypal... does everyone here own a paypal account... i think they call just to see if the number that was given is legit or phony...

Just got a call from this number, first one ever...Called back and it just said "thank you for returning the call, to be removed from our list press one" ... Doesn't say what type of list though?? I do have pay-pal, do not have a hispanic surname...

Just got one of these calls about 5 minutes ago at 12:08PM AZ time.  They did not leave a message.  Glad I didn't answer.  This site is a great resource to track down these sneaky telemarketers. Anyway we can get a petition going to report this company?

No clue who this is. I never answer and they never leave a message. Finally added it to my reject list.
