got a call a few minutes ago on a cell with a number that I don't give out to anyone, didn't answer, no message.

scam , they just want your money .
you want legit advice , don't answer ,
if you don't want to be scammed .

Seeing lots of people getting this call today. Who in Canada has never shopped at CT or ever had dealings with Bell.

Its like the fortune teller that says: "I see you enjoy ice cream now and then, don't you?"

It is likely some scammer that has hacked an unsuspecting Calgarians computer and is dialing numbers in sequence from their modem or fax machine as opposed to having found our numbers anywhere... did anybody press 1?

May not do anything, might just be amassing a list of valid numbers. Might even be watching this board to see who reports it. Spooky...

got a call from this number. seemed fishy. bugged me. weird we all got the call yesterday !

Just got a call from 403-584-7878 5 mins ago never a message..  Didn't answer.  Also keep getting calls from Pennsylvania610-967-7990.  They never leave a message either.  Drives me insane jumping up for bogus phonecalls.

Received a call on my cell today, I didn't answer.  They left a vm saying I had won $10,000 and to press '1' to accept.  How do companies get cell #'s?

Also- funny how I entered both my home AND cell on the 'do not call' list, on the Canadian Govt website, and it seems I get MORE of these...

I live in Southwestern Ontario, so I'm not sure it has much to do with our location?  But it is annoying. My cell is Bell, does that matter, I wonder?

I just got a call and did not answer, i think it is just think the robot is trying out numbers to see which ones are valid, DON'T ANSWER

received call stating 3000 free travel miles for Telus. I did not press any of the numbers requested as we are suupplied by Bell. This is a recorded message, telemarketing, funny though, that they have called my direct office telephone number. this tepehone number must have been sourced from a service provider or from one of our clients.

Received 403-484-7878 in bound call on my cellular just now. My cell telephone number is only given out to family for emeregency use. There are only two other people that know the cellular telephone number and they are family.
My cell carrier is Telus. My cell is an unpublished telephone number and I pay for this service to keep it private.
I will be contacting Telus about the privacy issue, unpublished telephone number and how a telemarketer, apparently working for Telus, is offering me 3000 travel dollars as a result of my Telus patronage.
You pay for service, in this case privacy, and it appears Telus or an employee or contractor has sold the private information or at least it  passed the contact information along to a third party or it appears that way.

I received calls on my home telephone, service supplied by Shaw and my cellular,  where service is supplied by Telus.
We did enter our telephone numbers on the Fed. Gov't site for the do not call list. As did friends and neighbors. We are now receiving more telemarketing calls than before. a coleague advised that the Fed. Gov't do not call list was compromised and given or sold to global telemarketers. We cannot verify this, but if this persists, we may submitt our MLA and MP telephone contacts to the Fed Gov't do not call lists and see what precipitates when the gov't officials start receiving these telemarketing solicitation calls.
With the phone message being so quick, I am not sure if the message for the 3000 travel dollars was from Telus or Canadian Tire. We are not and have never held a Canadian Tire credit card or even been on their mailing lists.

yeah.. just got a call from this number too, also claiming to be from bell canada. since i use bell mobility, i hesitated before pressing anything and the call disconnected almost immediately.

unfortunately. bell canada customer service was particularly useless and refused to accept my report of fraud calling. good grief.
