They called  and the phone rang and rang, I would not pick it up because my phone is limited to 4 rings, however they are somehow able to have my phone ring many more times than that, when I got fed up with the ringing I picked up and no one was there.  They are using their collection agency techniques to gain customers which does not appear to be a very good business strategy.  I called them after reading about them on this site and asked them to stop calling.

Caller called me and I returned the call and an indian answered - stating he is Customer Service.

Trying to get me to lower my interest rates for the rest of my life.

SCAM !  They apparently work with the banks to lower the rates - says it costs, but not out my account.

I encourgage people to challenege these morons and call them back @ 1-403-648-9228

403 648 9228 called about 11:30 am, automated message telling me they are calling about my credit card and how would i like to reduce my interest rates.
I hung up, then blocked that number on my phone.

They just called three times within 5 minutes, so I immediately googled the phone number and found this site... I then proceeded to call the number back, in which a younger gentleman answered the phone. He didn't talk with a foreign accent like the majority of the people had said on here, however I definitely let him know not to call my freakin' house again. If he does call back I think I'll be giving a call to PhoneBusters.

just received call minutes ago.  I didn't answer but... no message left.

This caller has been very persistent calling as much as six times a day. I have caller ID.  The caller comes up as UNKNOWN NAME and I allow the answering machine to respond but a message is never left.  I have advised my Cable company and will also advise RCMP at their scam number quoted by Yanya in above messages. My advice is to hang up if you answer and do not get involved in conversation with these con. artists. DO NOT hit number 9 as requested.

A recorded voice "Lisa" used this number and told me it was calling about my credit card account.  I hung up.

They called me about a month ago and I haven't received any phone calls since. I called them back and spoke with the Indian man and gave him an ear full. I also encourage everyone to call this number back ask to speak with the Supervisor, catch them in their own lies. When I called and asked for the manager the Indian man said they didn't have one but then when I asked for them a second time he made up a name sounded ridiculous like John Smith will be in tomorrow. Their full of lies and they think their smart calling around trying to get info.

I also reported this number to Phone Busters and they didn't do [***] about it. If this is a crime and is illegal then why are they still up and running, calling people about their credit cards ? I really hope no one falls for this scam. I just thought how funny it was speaking with 2 different people in the same night asking them about their company and who works there. Its funny how their answers change, they cant even answer simple questions like whats the hours of operation, where they office is located, who their manager is, even the name the Indian man gave me sounded ridiculous he said it was John Davidson.

Offered me low interest rates on my credit card, very convincing, they had ALL MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, very scary!

I got a call from this number 1-403-648-9228. The guy congratulated me because I had been chosen for better interest on my credit card.  He said that he with the major credit card company. He asked to verify my birth than whole credit card number.  I hung up and called back the number requesting them to stop calling me. They sort of laughed at me and hung up.

Same scenario happened for me. It was harder for me to understand since my mother tongue is french. I was uncomfortable with all this and confused because he would'nt stop talking not letting me time to think. I made the mistake of giving informations on one of my credit cards (number on the back too ) and 15 minutes later someone had already made a purchase for 1049.57$ on that card. I asked how they could give me lower rates and his explanations somehow convinced me, and the name also Consumer Advocates , he said that they wanted to protect the consumers from the banks making too much money on us. I'm usually careful and I guess I wanted so bad the lower rates that I gave it a try. But after I called one of my credit cards companies to check, the person googled the phone number and found this forum. I was able to cancel my credit cards but I dont know what will happen with this amount that they took on my CITI card. I guess I am responsible since I gave the informations but I never authorized the purchase. At CITI they said  I should call in a few days to see what happens...  :(  Yes I know, that was very stupid of me...

I received a call from this 403-648-9228 number but missed the call and called right back. A man with an indian heavy accent answered..I said that you just called my number, what was it in regards to?..he said a better interest rate on your visa..I immediately said "could you take me off your calling list, I'm not interested!"..he said "yea, yeah, sure and was about to hang up and I said, whoa, you didn't even ask me what number I'm calling from and he got flustered and hung up!! TOTAL SCAM...be aware!

I got the same call from these guys I had a word with a Guy named Luke Matthews sweeet child...!! They are not offering a new card all they are doing is getting a lower interest rate on our existing card thats it..!! the problem out here is that u guys have nt availed these services and u guys just talk [***] about it..  this is nt a scam.. THIS IS LEGIT !!!

Same thing happened to me at 12:45 today. I called my bank and cancelled my Visa #.  Scam artists.  BEWARE!!!  [***] they just called back,  I hung up on them

These people are really starting to annoy me! Always calling about reduced CC rates! Its usually different numbers that show up on the call display though.

Got a call from this number March 27th. 2010. After answering phone no one said anything but could hear someone breathing on other side. After telling them to f...off , hung up.
