I thought caller id was great until I found that the caller can use software to make any phone number appear as the number calling you.  I received a call from area code 666 last year.  I didnt answer that one either.  :o

These people will never stop calling, they are looking for a relative who owes them money, and they have called since 1994, they use different numbers, always unavailable, usually a foreign accent. The best thing to do is turn off your ringer, and ALWAYS let the answering machine answer, OR, cancel your land line and only use a cell phone, and explain to the phone company that since they won't stop the calls, you are discontinuing their service, and cancel your TV and internet service (if it's with the phone company ) and go with a cloud type ISP
