Got two calls on my cellphone from this number today, at 2:17 pm and 6:10 pm. No idea how they got the private cell number, whom few people know.

This number is called a blank one and used by law enforcement in lcoating persons.

This is a special set-up number used by law enforcement agencies to track locations and telephone numbers.

524-0000 area code 404.....
These are test numbers that different gov. agencies use.

get several calls a day from this number and no one on the other end.

Received a call from this number earlier today on my cell (I didn't answer and no msg. was left), followed within 30 minutes by two more calls, one showing "restricted" and one "unavailable".  Someone above said 404-524-0000 is a number law enforcement agencies use to locate people?!  Now I'm paranoid as h*ll!  Why would an average girl like me get a call like that?

No need to be paranoid. It's not some secret agency. It's from a US-based switch board for calling cards used overseas. Might be someone you know calling from Europe who used a calling card.

How do I get this number to stop calling me? Today is the first day it called me but within the last month I am getting a lot of other numbers I don't know and there is no one there.

Someone called me on this number today. Can it be used to call someone in the US, or do you have to be outside the US to use it?

Got a call at 1:05 2/4/08 from this number.  I did not answer it and they did not leave a message.  who/what is this?

I was also wondering who was calling me.  It happened to be my sister calling from Europe.  For some reason, instead of her regular number showing up on the caller ID, it was 404-524-0000.  I guess it is just a transition number for calls coming from Europe.  I don't think anybody should be paranoid about this...

I have the answer to the problem with this number.  Its a international calling card service.  I live in Nicaragua and received a call from that number.  The person left a message and it was a pastor from Cuba.  So the number is going to be disconnected when you call back because its just a card.The area code is for Atlanta Ga.

I receive phone calls from this number always and don't know who's calling. Anytime i called, it's responding: it has been disconnected.

Now I am thinking maybe my brother was calling.  He's in Japan.  Hmmm...  I hate answering calls like this.  But I will pick it up next time and see if it is him.

my boyfriend always gets a call from this number late at night.... it's somebody from the south pacific islands....calling card.

I had a missed call on my cell from 404-524-0000, it turned out to be my bone head cousin that is touring Europe and the middle East. He called today from Jerusalem, Israel. He used a calling card, apparently the card number gets routed through Atl. Georgia, no big mystery anymore. The [***] that said earlier in this thread that it was law enforcement tracking people down is a fricken crack head liar.

I got 2 calls last night from this number.  I picked a third one this morning and it was my brother calling from Kenya.
