My answering machine has a call from Agent Michael Mark from Hollander Chase & Associates.  His message states this call is for Tony ? and the reason your being contact is because we received a call ( doesnt say from who) on July 21, a litigation process has been filed againt Tony ?.  Tony ? took out  a loan and miss represented the secure financial office and this is against the law.  Tony ? when he applied for the loan put u as a reference.  As of today a supeona will be summoned on your behalf to appear in court.  

Agent M. Mark I will be taking you and the false company to court on behalf of Tony ? as soon as I contacted this company the operator lost my call.  I redialed and then was transfered to Agent M. Mark when I interegated this employee who likes the title Agent to scare people and informed him I was an attorney he automatically, said okay this call has been terminated.  ha! blew your cover.  I'll be sending you a supeona!   and sue you for adding Chase in the title trying to degrade and scare people. see you in court!

Received a call from Tony Hayes from Hollander, Chase and Associates - phone number 404-551-5374.  Said that I needed to call to discuss a legal matter that is currently in their office prior to litigation.  As far as I know, anything that is pending litigation is sent to you via certified mail.

Your correct.  Same message I received on my machine and when I called MM this is not the first time they have done this.  They think it's funny calling and harrassing. First time he called he got me but, not now.

Received a call from this number today from a Mrs Jones. Called back and got the company Hollander, Chase and Associates. Mrs. Jones was "not available" but I spoke with someone else in the "litigation department." She informed me that she was not a collection agency but that she was calling on bad check I wrote back in November 2006!!! That I received an online payday advance online through Instant Cash Loans and that I defaulted on it. That the money was supposed to be in my Bank of America account. She provided me the account number at B of A and the routing number. She knew my address from that time and my email address. She had my social security number.

First of all, I havent had a bank account with B of A since 1984. Secondly, I have had the same phone number they called me on today for 5 years and this is the first time I have ever heard of this. I have never received an email from them and she said that they have sent over 20 of them. I pull my credit at least once a year and nothing relating to this has ever reported. I asked her about that and she said for some debts they just write it off as bad debt. Others they decide to pursue legally. This one they are deciding to pursue legally and I will be receiving a summons soon.

I received the same call from an Agent Carter. Left a message saying that he had information on a bad check I wrote. Funny thing is that I haven't had a checking account for over a year & when I did, I didn't write checks!! I've never received anything in the mail regarding this & they his message sounded very unprofessional for a law firm. I believe this is collection agency with a fancy name. With the economy being what it is, everyone is getting desperate for money!!

Ok funny, called me early in the morning, stating she is Agent Vinson calling about a bad check I supposely wrote in 2008, for a pay day loan for $164.00 threathing me with a lawsuit and warrant being issued for my arrest and I only had 2 hrs to call her back by the way she was calling from Hollander Chase Associatesher name was Agent Vinson at 404-551-5374 ext 116,  Ok so she calls later for my husband using the same Agent Vinson but this time form Investigative Receovery at tel# 678-648-5541 with the same spill, ok I googled bothe the tel# numbers and they are both in GA and many reports of fraud.

I have also received a call from this so called company saying I took out a pay day loan in 2006.  They had all of my information with all of the same verbage as all of the other complaints.  When I asked for specific information such as the original loan document I was told this would take over 30 days to get from the company and I would be served a summons by then.  I asked them to fax me all of the information they had, this was yesterday at 11:30 am Mountain time and still have not received a fax from anyone.  They also called my father-in-law telling him I had used him as a reference and this was illegal and he would also be summoned to court.

i also recieved a call from this company and the agents name was T. Downs i was told i had until 3:00 today to return his call or it would be handled using the SS# he had on file.  when i began to ask him to give me more details on the situation he be came irrate.  guess who's not calling him back!!!!

I also recieved a call from this company on Monday and it scared me.  The payday loan company they said I defaulted on did not sound familiar and I new that I had used an online payday loan company before, so I thought it was correct.  They had my social security number, and old Bank of America checking account number that i have not had for years.  I have tried to locate this company online and I can not find anything.  Like I said I was freaked out and I told them I would pay and gave them my debit card information and worked out a payment schedule for fear of getting sued.  they also had names of references and their numbers and had already called one of my friends in regards to this.

I need to know if I should call these people back or call my bank and tell them to stop payment on this.
Can anyone help me!?

first of all you should have asked them to provide documentation for you to review.  it seems as though  they have a list of bank of america customer's that they are harrassing. i would be leary of a company that could not be googled.

I rec'd this call (pretending not to be who he is looking for) and for a minute Agent Downs 404-551-5374 Ext 126 had me going...he mention that a friend of mines...(Called a correct name) was involved...I still didn't believe him...I knew I had not written any cks. So when I told him that, he mentions my friend is being contaced also on behalf of this ck...I really knew he was lying then. When I asked for more details on when and how much...All he could tell me is 05 and that he need to speak to me (since he thinks he is leaving a message with my sister). If I didn't call bk by 3pm...I would have charges filed against me. Needless to say, thank God for Internet....Google it and I found this!!!! Good looking out!!!

These same companies have been contacting a friend of mine as well as his friends/families....this is a scam/rip off of company.  If they continue to call.... advise them that they need to "mail" a letter of collection which is required by Federal law.  Apparently if any of you have even considered applying for a payday loan online, without even taking the loan, these companies are trying to collect.  Their practices are completely illegal.  They also continue to change numbers which they are calling from.  They truly need to crawl back in the hole which they slithered out from.

This company stated that I had a payday loan back in 2006 and that Regions bank had turned it over to them they had all my information and had contacted some of my family members about this which is completely illegal. Know your rights get their address and send them a certified letter requesting validation. You can also sue them for contacting you at work or your family members when they were told not to do so. Look at the FDRCA FDCA, or something about how debt collectors suppose to collect.

The  number that called me was 678-648-1226/ Agent- Ms. Black. She called in regards to my daughter, Tab and stated that a fraudulent act had been commited at Secure Financial and that me and my son were listed as references. She had my full name and my son's full name. She wanted to contact my daughter by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, 07/26/10 or ;egal action would be taken against her and I would have to appear in court to make a statement. I contacted my daughter and gave and informed her of this call and she contacted this so callled Agent/Ms. Black and told her that this information did not belong to her. My daughter further researched after hanging up from her and discovered that this is a scam and not to concern myselt any further with it.

Recieved a call from Hollander & Chase Associates(404-551-5374 ex 131). Apparently a friend of ours commited check fraud. My wife was listed as a reference and would be held criminaly liable if she didn't call them and give all the information about this person that she could. I know of no court that would hold a person culpable for being listed as a reference without knowledge of the fact. Don't co-signers have to sign a contract- You list me a reference and i gotta pay your bill-YA RIGHT!

We got a call today as well. The number that came out was 404-551-5374. ext 119. This lady stated that they were looking for my sis in law and we were placed as reference but thats it. She stated she needed to speak to my husband and couldn't provide me with any info. I took down number and contacted my husband who was upset because they called a relatives number looking for my sis in law too. We don't know what to do as we feel we shouldn't have even been bothered to begin with since we didn't take out anything. What should we do if they call again?

My mom in GA received a call that these ppl were going to serve me with a subpoena because I owed a payday loan of 2005. She asked how they got her number. They said I used her as a reference. NO and NO. I called the number asking for info on the company that hired them. I called the company who said, they've been getting complaints and its a fraud, they had nothing on me. I also called BOA. After seeing these complaints it seems that we are all somehow related to a BOA acct during 2004-2006 or so. All they said is they would note it. I was told to call my local police dpt for file a harrassment complaint on my phone. I keep receiving calls, so now I've contacted Atlanta Fraud Dpt. Maybe if they get more calls, they will find a way to track these ppl down. I called Hollander and asked for an address which they would not give. ATL Fraud Dpt 404-546-4240

i came in contact with hollander chase yesterday morning i was sleeping the phone rand it was my daugether telling me that someone called my mother in law house. talking the same things. It had me srcard has h--ll i called them back the person i talked with was agent williams they had alot of info that was correct but what got me to thinking was the fact that they only wanted a debt card or credit card i  was like anybody that is looking for payment will take it anyway you want to pay them. what i have learned is instead of getting worked up when these people call tell them to send  the debt  to you in a letter then i call you when i get it bye!!   let get these people and show them we are not dumb.
