- Adam replies to AdamP.s you can file a complaint if your in a perfected state with your states attorney general, they will mail you a packet of papers to feel out and information to read, you then mail it back to them and they will send a compy to the FBI and your states branch SBI, also they will send it to the better business bureau of your state and the companies state. However, most pay day loan companies are operated off of native american reservations and don't operate under federal or state laws. If a collection company or any one calls you and says they are a attorney, if they are not they are also breaking federal and state law. In other words if they say they are an attorney they better be!
- NoFraud/No Stress| 1 replyI got a call regarding some type of fraud but not clearly understood. I called back left a VM. I dont have any bounced checks or any other business matter that would warrant this type of call. So, I believe and I am extremely confident it is a scam. Usually, you will get served if it is something that is this critical by the local authorities. Have a nice day!

- banyl| 1 replyi have been recieving several phone calls from this number and when i heard the message that was left i was puzzled becuz i have never had checks so how can i make a checking fraud so i called the number back and it went no where so i waited for the number to come back on to my phone i got a call back and this lady just starts going into this story about how i commited checking fraud and that i owe this place called fastbucks money 1512.75 and i was thinking to my self NO way so i asked her to send me the info she said nothing and put me straight to hold then came back on and started saying i will have 15min until a warrant will be issued which freaked me out cuz check fraud is a big deal then she stated that i wrote a check from Bank of America by giving a account # and routing # and then i knew for a fact that this is crazy cuz i have never banked with them.....ever so i told her i need info she kept going in and out of the conversation by putting me on hold she kept stating that i need to give her my payment or account so she could get a payment but i kept telling her i needed something finally she put me on hold one last time i hung up. after hanging i called Bank of America and gave them that acct # and they reassured me that # does not have my name on it and that my SS is not linked to there bank i informed them of the call i got and Bank of America is going to investigate it. i want to know how she got my info and who else has it....makes me nervous

- Hey Investigations replies to banylBanyl, There will be NO warrant issued for you and absolutely DO NOT give them any information. They are bottom feeder debt collectors that will stoop to any low to scare you into giving them money. If you did pay them, the person on the phone gets a 30% commission. They are existing on borrowed time before the feds finally get around to shutting them down. They are not investigators, police, attorneys, bank officials or sherriffs. They are losers that can't get a job doing real work. My advice would be to just ignore the calls.
- Me replies to INVESTGATIONSNow come on how can someone take you seriously? You do not even know how to spell. People don't by into the crap this company is selling. The only person who can issue a warrant for your arrest is the state atty's office or the clerk of court. This company is a bunch of low on the totem pole of life ghetto people!!! Go TO He!!
- AshI just got this voicemail...I am waiting on the call back ;) I dont write checks, so this should be fun!
- Caller: Stupid people
- HTGot a message today from the infamous "lead Investigator" Nicole Cochran and, yet again, they're putting a warrant out for me. Let's see, that makes about 4 now. Hey Nicole, when it gets to 10 I'll turn myself in to you personally. Oh, but I ought to tell you that you are blatantly violating FDCPA rules on these messages and they were all sent to my states attorney general today. Funny, but when I called them, they already knew about you. Oh well, if you can't get 6 more threats to me by the time you're arrested, I'll come visit YOU in jail. Keep tryin. Your getting better. Real scary stuff (shivvvver)

- C6E7 replies to NoFraud/No StressTake no action until you receive, legitimate, intelligent documents from your local court notifying you of a scheduled court appearance or notice giving you the opportunity to make restitution before the matter becomes a criminal offense. You can also contact your local authorities to find out if there are any outstanding warrants against you or use the warrant system to search on your own.
Sadly some debt collectors thrive on fear and intimidation. The legal system works both ways, don't allow scare tactics to push you to pay out money you don't owe. And if you owe it, don't allow the tactics to usurp your legal rights. Right or wrong, you still have rights and the opportunity to make good on the debt. If they were going to file, they wouldn't make countless threatening phone calls, they would just file the necessary paperwork and let the court handle the situation. Talk is cheap. - RogerI got a call said i had 24 hours to respond to check fraud. I dont write checks only to buisness i do buisness with. I dont write bad checks.
- SeriouslyThis crowd is a FREAKIN JOKE. I searched the GA Secretary of State's Corp Commission ( http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Filings.asp?1630386# ), and it appears that this business is not pulling the wool over the consumer's eyes - but they've BS'ed the State of GA, as well!!! Their "physical address" (for both the business AND their "new" Registered Agent, Britney Hall) - is the POST OFFICE's address!!! And get this - one of the two Member/Owners, Michael Thornton - lives only a MILE away..... in an EMPTY parking lot!!! They've managed to come up with a pretty devious scheme. The address of the Reg Agent is listed as Atlanta, GA - while Mr. Thornton actually "resides" in a different town - Doraville, GA. These people have used Google Maps before, that's for sure. They found one of those areas where the city/county/zip codes meet - and used it for their Corporate Registration. It's a shame the states don't do more investigation before they accept a $50 application payment and allow a "business" to set up shop - even if it's fake.
Don't talk to, listen to, agree with, OR pay these people - they're violating ALL kinds of laws, at State and Federal levels. Tell them to go to hell. They left a voice mail at my office today - and I called and left one for THEM :)- Caller: DTA

- TerrieGot a call from this number.....it was a voice message that said to press '1' because I was being investigated for tax fraud.
I pressed '1' and so man got on the phone that sounded like a hillbilly....saying that whoever had my phone number was being investigated for tax fraud. I told him I was recording the call...then
I asked him repeatedly what name he had for that number but he refused to tell me.....
I told him that the number he was calling is a cell number and that any further communication from him or his 'company' was to be in writing....that I assume he has a mailing address for whom ever he was trying to reach and that I was going to contact theIRS and give them his phone number and a copy of the recorded phone call....
He said 'opps'and hung up- Caller: tax fraud investigator
- Business Owner| 2 repliesInteresting call... so far this was the recording: They were calling from the DTA about Tax Fraud. The RECORDING did not mention a name they were calling for but left the following 2 numbers: 404-935-9487 or 404-935-9490. Once the numbers were stated they indicated that the person (???) had 24 hours to return the call.
This is a business they are calling.... I have not had the number very long, (September 2010) so I called them back and stated they were calling a business, 1st illegal move... second MS. Cochran has a voice RECORDING answering her phone so... I left them a message: this is a business you are calling and this is not tolerated. After listening to the entire voice recording they indicated that the person would be picked up. By this time I was livid. so 2nd half of my message was that the call would be reported to the proper authorities and that a threat of "being picked up" was against the FDCPA regulations. I have reported them to the FTC, FDCPA and Better Business Bureau.
I feel for those that fall for this ridiculous and outlandish form of JUNK DEBT BUYERS tactics. Don't let them scare you for they themselves will find the wrong side of the bars in jail.- Caller: DTA?
