I have been receiving calls all day from this number, I unfortunately do not have a call reject list to apply this to and wish this would stop.

My cell is on the do not call list; they keep calling to sell me Home Protection anyhow.   Up to 8 calls.  Urgh...!!!

Finally answered today.  Wanted to put a security system in my house.  Already have one, and even if I didn’t, I would not get one from this ‘legit company’.

This is from Home Security Systems - I told them I would report them if they didn't remove my number from their call list - this was 05/26/11 - the recording said it would take 72 hours to have my number removed -  we'll see - I told them to before and they keep calling.   This time the recorder said to press "1" to have it removed so  let's see if this works

We get calls every day from this number. What good does it do to be listed on DO NOT CALL LISTS.

There are both state and federal laws against pre-recorded telemarketing messages. approximately 40 of the 50 states allow individuals to sue for telemarketing violations. The other 10 states reserve that right solely for that states attorney general. If you can sue under your states law, than you can also sue under federal law as well.

The important thing to remember is that the security alarm telemarketers know they are breaking the law, so they disguise their identity. But to make a sale, they must reveal their identity. So answer the phone and pretend you are interested. If they are selling a do it yourself alarm installation and alarm monitoring contract, they will send you the alarm contract to sign. The alarm contract will have the companys name  that monitors the alarm on it. That is who to sue and you will have the evidence.

If they are an selling alarm system that needs to be installed by an installer, they will have the installation company call you back. Be nice and chatty with the alarm installation company and you will learn their name, and they will tell you who placed the initial pre-recorded call when you ask. Ask for their website.

It took me longer to write this than it would take you to find out this information. All you need is the info from one call and you can sue them for all calls made from that same phone number whether you answered the phone or not.

If you ask them to put you on the "DO NOT CALL" list they hung up right away as though they did not hear you and call you back a few days later.

i got one phone call from this number and i called back to see who it was but it was busy or my call didnt go throw

Calls me continously for about three days now. Stop calling me as I am on the DNC list. These telemarketers just seem to ignore the DNC list and call anyway.

Calls and leaves no message.  I am on the dnc registry.  Does not seem to stop the calls.

A dozen calls from this number over the past few days.  Today I "answered" without saying hello and a man's voice said "This is Tom from Home Security.  How are you?"  He said this several times and after I did not respond, he hung up.

These guys have called me REPEATEDLY over the past few weeks from several different numbers and I have personally told them TWICE now to stop calling me!  I'm on the Do Not Call list...what good that does anyway.  These guys are jerks!  I certainly wouldn't buy anything from them.  Probably a scam.

I gather it was a telemarketing call = My dog answered the phone but wouldn't agree to buy the crap!

Home security company he has called every day for the last 5 days, I keep telling him to stop calling but it just doesn't work!

Usually whoever has been calling me from this number has been hanging up on me, but I actually had "Tom" from Home Security Systems call me this morning, as well. I said "no thanks" and hung up on him immediately.

Here is the fix:   I have rec'd numerous calls from this number in the last 10 days.  Haven't answered until today. They want to give you a free wireless home security system in return for them placing a sign in your front yard. I told them I already had a security system consisting of a large dog and a .357 magnum.I also asked to be removed from their calling list.

I contacted the Montana State Attorney General's office as Area code 406 is listed as Forsyth, Montana.  I rec'd a quick reply from the  Montana AG's office which follows below, with info that the calls actually come from Los Angeles, Ca.     Scroll down to see company name, address, etc.  The caller on my line was named Tom.  Use this info to register your complaints with the DO Not Call
Registry and the Fed. Trade Commission.   Good Luck

Thank you for your information.  Over time, we have received several complaints like yours.  Upon investigation, we have found that these 406 area code numbers belong to an unknown out-of-state company that purchased/leased the Montana phone number from a telemarketing company that  purchased/leased it from a Los Angeles based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) named Pacific Telecom.  The calls are not coming from Montana.  Please see the three tiered call sequence below:
