Here is the fix:   I have rec'd numerous calls from this number in the last 10 days.  Haven't answered until today. They want to give you a free wireless home security system in return for them placing a sign in your front yard. I told them I already had a security system consisting of a large dog and a .357 magnum.I also asked to be removed from their calling list.

I contacted the Montana State Attorney General's office as Area code 406 is listed as Forsyth, Montana.  I rec'd a quick reply from the  Montana AG's office which follows below, with info that the calls actually come from Los Angeles, Ca.     Scroll down to see company name, address, etc.  The caller on my line was named Tom.  Use this info to register your complaints with the DO Not Call
Registry and the Fed. Trade Commission.   Good Luck

Thank you for your information.  Over time, we have received several complaints like yours.  Upon investigation, we have found that these 406 area code numbers belong to an unknown out-of-state company that purchased/leased the Montana phone number from a telemarketing company that  purchased/leased it from a Los Angeles based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) named Pacific Telecom.  The calls are not coming from Montana.  Please see the three tiered call sequence below:

I need to find out their address and info so I can file a lawsuit against them for Harassment.
They keep harassing me, calling over and over about alarm systems.

That's excellent info, and may help explain some of these other oddball Caller ID entries I see from time to time.  I, like others, just add these number(s) to a /dev/null contact entry in the phone and shoot it straight to voicemail - which effectively blocks them as they *never* stay on long enough to last through Verizon's never-ending pre-recorded instructions.

This person calls my cellphone 2-3 times per day.  I do not answer unknown numbers.  Today in internet search on this number I find it is a telemarketer for home security system (by the reports online).  I am on the "do not call" registry.  Not sure where to report this but will start here

I have been getting calls for the past 2-3 weeks from this number.  Today along I have already received 3 calls from this number.  Does anyone know who this is?

Two and three calls a day, never a message.  I have called and entered '1' to be removed from their calling list...but it hasn't worked so far!!  I hate it!

I received 6 calls from this number in the past 2 days. I never answer the phone when it's a number I don't recognize, so I don't know what they'd say if I did answer.

You asked if anyone on AT&T gets calls from this number...I'm on AT&T.

They keep calling.  I did their automated "take me off the list" but they keep calling.  Report them to the FCC.

Guy said he was from "Home Protection".  Told him I didn't have a home and not to call me again!

this number called me 7 times last July 1, 2011.. i haven't answered any calls from them..and i don't even know why the heck is he calling my number..

This number has called me at least a dozen times and I tired of them call me. And I not going to answer it because I know it is an advertising and I'm not interested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been getting calls from this number at least once a day for the last several weeks. I have been on the ncl for two weeks now but has not affected the calls. I am with AT&T. I am going to file a complain today. They never leave a vm so I have no clue what they want or who they are.
