These Jokers crack me up! Not at first though, I was soooo upset! Then when I figured it out, that it was a scam... I started to have fun with them. LOTS of fun! You can too! Just keep calling them back, stating that you really want to clear this up, you just need the address of the place. I guarantee, you will be hung up on and after the 4th or 5th call to them, your # will be blocked. Now you have intimidated THEM & there is no better feeling than that!

I got a call on Saturday from an unknown number.  First question then asked me was if I had an attorney.  i asked for what they said i was going to get arrested on Monday and how did I not know what I was going to get arrested for.  I again asked what this was about and Joe Smith told me to hold then another indian gentleman came on.  i asked him the same question then I hung up.  He called me back and kept saying why would you hang up on me, I said who are you and what do you want. He said I have one question for you, do you have an attorney I said for what?  He said why don't you pay your bills.  I told him that I knew he wasn't from an attorney's office becuase no attorney has an indian dude name Joe Smith call on Saturday to tell me they are arresting me and they do not call from an unknown number either.  He said I was breaking up and to call him on his other number which he never gave me.  I told him a few choice words and hung up.  They did not call back.

Mine keep coming up as unknown on my cell phone.  I wish I could get their number.  If I owe money I will pay it but really to call me and threaten me with criminal charges?  First of all owing money is not a criminal charge friggin idiots.

I pretty much got the same thing from these people as you all did.. would not give me a street address, never received a validation of the debt, said they were going to press charges, etc. anyone else have trouble with this number? or these people in georgia.

Please don't give them any information. They are doing this because there is no other way to collect debt - likely it's old debt which is no longer legally collectable, or they are completely making up the debt just to get them to pay you money. Ive recieved several calls from an Investigator Hollinger stating I owe his company $1700 for a payday loan in 2007... The address that I recieved the paday loan I have not lived there since 2000, false information right there. I asked that he send me something in the mail and he refused stating he had no such documentation. He threatened that I would be arrested but I know this is a civil matter not criminal. I asked that he not call my job and he went ballistic, saying I will call your job everyday and hung up on me. He called right back asking for Human Resources and a co-worker asked what company was he calling from and she never got a clear answer. The phone number is to a residence. I would be a fool if I paid this guy $1700 with only his word that I owe him this. Craziness! 404-228-6402

i received two cals two days ago. wanted me to callthem back idid they hung up. they called my work, so i called them back. yhey told me i got a loan in may of 2010. i didnt. thry said they were goingto take legal actions. these people where very rude and you couldnt understand them. they had all my info. whar should i do.

im so tired of people putting themselves in debt and soon as the companies ask for there money back adults thinking of any type of way not to pay the money back if you ask me thats robbery without a gun and they really should crack down on professional pan handlers pay your debts and you will never have to worry about someone calling you for money that you know you owe put your priorties in place and quit borrowing money from people

I called the Federal Trade Commission and reported them, the FTC told me there are many companies that are scamming people for debts that they do not owe. The FTC asked me was it on my credit report, the debt they were talking about, I said no , I said I paid the debt 3 years back. The FTC asked me how much money they wanted, I told them it came to 3 times the amount of the original debt that I paid. The FTC told me that first of all a DEBT collector can call you to collect a debt but by law they have to send you written documentation within 5 days of contacting you.  I knew I had paid the debt, but when I questioned them to send me some documentation they said they could not send that. The FTC told me a debt collector can ONLY collect the amount of the debt owed not 3 times the amount or 2 times the amount. There are LAWS written for a reason, and its to protect the consumer. WHILE YOU DO HAVE TO PAY debts you owe, you are not oblgated to pay ones you do not owe and the FTC says its against the law for someone to call you and threaten you with legal action as well. When I told this debt collector that I knew what the laws were they told me they were going to sue the FTC  too because they should not of told me what they did, I said your going to sue the federal government? all the answers are there. If you seriously owe a debt a person should pay it, but people can not just call and harass you over a debt you do not owe, etc... there are laws out there..and if they do call you can sue them, for harassment.

i got the same kind of call but it was from a loan company called easy cash international a online payday loan i suppose to have took out but i didnt. And he could not tell me the amount or the day it was deposited into my account im pretty sure that i would remember if money was deposited into my account. and he keeps calling from weird number and sometimes private calls.

I recieved a call on my jobs saying they was an Investigator and  that I owe a payday loan of $507.00 and now it has doubled to $1,040.#1. I do not recall this payday loan. They called my job-They are not to call my job. Neither am I to be harresed. My job stated they keep calling with these tatic-. Do not call and do not harrase me.
