I hava call from this number first was the +14161234567 and after that I didnot answer cell was rining again but this time number was +38714161234567  (387 number for Bosnia where I from). I answer sam lady speaking about some menagmet. She knew my name, I didnot uderstand did she know some more information about me

Hi everyone from Slovakia. I got this kind of call today. At first i thought it was a 1. april joke, when the lady started explaining me that she is calling from Japan (despite +14... not a japanese calling code). Then she asked me, if i am willing to invest offshore in the future and if a starting investment with 10k or 20k dollars was ok for me. I started laughing and told her, that amount would help me pay off just 1/20 of my mortgage, so after a few more questions, she politely ended the call. Since then I got another 2 calls from the same number, but didn´t answer. My wife called me, that she was receiving the call either, but didn´t answer as well. I am just wondering, where did they get all the info about me, my wife and the small company we are running...

Be careful people, it´s definitely a fraud

I am from Finland, and received a call from this number today too.
This was the first, and hopefully the last time.

The number shown was +1 416 1234 567, and "English" speaking lady introducing "investment company" from Japan.

Yeah...I got the same call...but I simply did not answer. How they get our info....they can get it on the internet, or all the eletronic trash namly computers with Hard Drives we are sending to Africa are dismounted and those ppl have access to your all data in your hard drive including !
So, I simply do not take the call............alkthough I am doing business in the US, the number is unknown to me so I do not answer nor reply.

they just call me. I made a little investigation and found that they got my contacts from alibaba.com.
Anybody familiar with alibaba.com? They either got our contact details from alibaba.com or some other comercial products and suply global trading company like alibaba.com.

I got a phone call from this no.+14161234567 a few mins. ago. I was in China last week, attending a furniture exhibition, I left plenty business cards there. Maybe this is the reason. Now I told the lady I don't speak English and send email.
Last year I was in Malaysia, also at a furniture fair, and the same thing happened, than they called me several times, and when I told the guy that I'm not interested he got very angry and behaved rude :-)
I think they collect business cards somehow because she knew my name, company, everything.
I suggest to consider who you give your card.

the same situation, English call from tokio, smart solutions... bla bla... they will me call in few days about investments. the first call today /14.4.2010/ at 16:15CET, the next in 10 minutes and 15 minutes, but I didn't take the second and third call... i was googling about this number +1 416 123-4567...

I know ALIBABA.Anybody can take an info from it ONLY if You had put it there before.

I got call today. Actually I have received lot of calls from this number and another from time ago. I think it is possible they got names, phone number, etc from alibaba.com.

Anyone knows what kind of fraud they do? I can't understand. I think nobody is so stupid to invest money through uncompany.

I'm from hercegovinia (bosnia and hercegovinia) and before I answered to the magic call I found this page. It's a  Fraud 105% shure. She call me every half an hour now ;)
