I am from Bosnia and Hercegovina and I have got a call from +1416 1234567 on 23.04.2010. but I did not answer. But that number call my office and ask for me and bla, bla.... English speaking lady who know my name and my telefon number. She did not call me again.

I'm from Ukraine. I received phone call from Ukrainian number and than from +1416 1234567. I do not know where she got my details. That's a bad joke or sick people calling.

Apparently calling from Malaysia, trying to sell private equity placement in a waste processing firm

I got a call from a girl who says they are from Smart Trade & wants to know if their Investment manager could call me for an investment opportunity in Stock market under Nasdaq(USA).
She had a rather strong Filipino accent in her English and I told her she could the next day after 2PM.

After that I received a call from a number from a local provider 0162696841.He told me he's Travis Bentley from Smart Trade & an Overseas Trade Investment Brokerage Company based in Japan.He said that a tip from insider from a company called Nektar that would potentially earn me 35% in returns from the current stock price in New York.Initial investment will be USD13.00/share x 4000= USD 52,000.00
My return in a few weeks time will be USD18,200 & tried to sweet talk me to transfer the money via Internet transfer or bank transfer.

I told him I'd need to check the validity of his company by calling them directly & ask for this person. I also told him I dont deal with small brokerage companies.He told me it was the 1st time he heard such thing from a customer & he felt bizzare.I checked the website under manninternational.com & soon enough found out the website wasn't convincing enough.i then said I was busy (but it was after 30 mins of rubbish conversation with him cos I wanted to know what he actually wanted from me)

ladies & gents, the moral of this story is...If it sounds too good to be true,THEN it is too good to be true!

P/S: the whois search i did identified this website domain is from Malaysia

Think they got a few stories cooked up.They tried Share Market with me.
Yeah their domain is reg in Malaysia

That lady called my phone and even asked to speak with me. Dropped the call after that and didn't call again.

Its definitely an online "Skype" number and I understand what is going on here. "Maga una go pay finish".

Really, after 416, the number is 1234567?  Yea Right!

This is a spoofed number.

Ask your senator or congressman to sponsor legislation outlawing spoofed numbers.

I’m Mr Didier Cheval from France. I’ve invested money to Smart Trade Group and they don’t want to send it back to me.

Smart Trade Group is a fraudulent company ! I give you a warning not to invest through this company. ( Sorry if my English is not so good but I hope for you that you understand. )

Their strategy is as follow :

- They call you at your office and they say that they can make your company earning a lot of money, but in fact they are interested by your personal money, and they convince you to invest through them.

- They send you documents showing that you’ve earn money through them, but when you ask them to send you the money back then they say that one of your money transfers was too late and that you have to send them again the same amount for few days to compensate for the delay. But this is illegal. I’ve asked to financial specialists and lawyers, and they said that this is purely illegal.

Smart Trade Group asked me to transfer the money to the bank Maybank in Malaysia, but when I asked to this bank, they said that the bank account number to which Smart Trade Group asked me to send the money does not exist.

Recently Smart Trade Group has changed the bank to which they ask you to send the money : it’s Bank Sinopac in Taiwan. But also there they give you a non existing account number.

Smart Trade Group ask you to send your money to a beneficiary ( can be  Allinton Worldwide Management Inc., Universal International Ventures Ltd or another one ) who is supposed being the owner of the bank account, but it’s [***].

I’ve sent a registered letter to Smart Trade Group at :

but the letter came back to me with a mention saying that nobody accepted the letter.

So, take care : If you send money to Smart Trade Group, you will never get it back.

i got a phone call from 416-123-4567 at10:55am today 8/11/10 . it said on the call display internat'l call .  416 is an ontario canada # . there was a lot of noise , and i could not hear him very well but it was a man with a british accent . he knew my name, the connection was bad , his voice was chopped up and then got disconnected.

Second time this week I've got a call from this number....I didn't answer the second time, but the first time I picked up there was no answer. I called the number back, and an automated message (not made by the phone company, but sounded like it was recorded by someone else) told me that the number cannot be reached or something.

its was wierd i get calls from crazy numbers all the time cause my husband is in iraq so his number is never the same. I thought it was him but as soon as a woman started to talk i just hung up.

had a few calls as well if u hang up pick up and press*57 this will ping # to phone co.  they will then ask u to call police

got someone call but not clear need to call back

never been to that site and I have been getting calls from that number I have not answered it yet but if they call again I will answer and see what info I can get from them
