Get regular calls from these debt about a debt I apparently owe to BMO. The only problem being I don't owe BMO anything. I have no mortgage debt, no revolving credit debt, no student loans...nothing. I do have a BMO credit card that is paid in full every month without fail (I do this for the cashback awards). Never heard a peep from BMO about a bad debt. They would know where to find me. Pulled my Transunion and Equifax credit reports and my credit rating is stellar - clean as a whistle. I think this outfit is a border-line scam. They probably buy defaulted debt for pennies on the dollar with much of it being poorly documented. They then try to pin the debt on some hapless or vulnerable person by threatening them etc. It is a volume business so if they can scare 3% into paying they are still winning. If you receive a call from any collection agency here are the steps you should take:
(1) Demand all communication to be put in writing
(2) Ask who are they representing
(3) If they are asking for a person you do not know request them to remove your number from their call list
(4) If they are asking for you ask them to provide their name, address, telephone, employee ID (so you can verify)
    -Collection Agency must be honest in their dealings more often or not they will use an assumed name which
      makes the collection attempt contract to the Consumer Protection Act dealing with collection agents or
      companies
(5) Release your information is a breach of privacy if the original creditor doesn't inform you of their intent to
     release you information to a third party and you give them express permission to do so

Did you know:  If a collection company reduces an amount owed then it is likely they purchased the debt from the creditor.  In some cases this purchase may be illegal and contrary to privacy policies.  Banks routinely sell their debts to collection agency is this is contrary to bank and privacy policies.

Apparently this is some debt collection office (searched phone number on duckduckgo-dot-com ftw)
 I suspect they their business model is to harass possible debtors for a lengthy time before actually talking to them, since they have called repeatedly and either hang up on one ring or hang up as soon as someone picks up the line.

After looking them up on the BB website they have  essentially received a negative rating for their business. What is truly amusing Is the fact that I have NO outstanding debts so whoever they are attempting to harass is totally unaffected.

I'm not sure why you put that URL in the "Caller" section but it goes to a 404 page. Plus I don't know why you had to look up the company name when that has been mentioned here quite a few times.

Very aggressive and rude they look like calling from Pharmacy St Clair using fake IDs. I told him to f himself.

Why do you think that you are communicating with your callers by posting here?  Why do you think that person can help you and why do you think that they will be stopping back after 13 years?
