They call at least once a week without leaving a message. They need to stop calling because it won't be pleasant for anyone on the other end when I answer.

I'm a ScotiaBank customer and I don't understand why they don't leave a message and forward the information by mail or e-mail. I don't mind offers but all these phone calls convince me that ScotiaBank doesn't care about their customers or they wouldn't give our phone numbers to these telemarketers. I'm tempted to cancel my card and tell ScotiaBank it's because of the phone calls. If more people did this maybe they would be more careful with our personal info. Shame on you ScotiaBank.

This number calls me and when i answer it to tell them to take me off there list it just rings like i am calling them??? its weird.

Same with me. They called and when I lift up the receiver I was hearing there the calling signals and seems like I called them. So, I disconected right away.

Called this morning on my telus cell phone. I answered and then it started ringing so I hung up figuring it was a telemarketer.

I get these calls too - it is harassment but some poor schmuck is just doing their job.  No point in getting angry or being rude.  I just did a call block on their number - voila - problem solved!

This number keeps on calling and hangs up. It also will not leave a message. And they call around supper time all the time....the date today is Nov. 05, 2012 but i got calls from them before.

Received call from 416-847-8742, I think it is from Scotia Bank and the got my number when I apply for their Visa card. Once they got your number, they just keep calling your cell number to sell other financial products such as Insurance..
I hope they would stop calling my cell to sell products and I now wonder how much they consider the feeling of their customers.

Every day at around 8 pm.  Very annoying!  I'm going to go in to my local Scoitabank and complain.

I am being repeatedly harassed by this number. Not only do they have my home phone number, they are also calling me on my two work phone numbers! The same number identifies itself with a recorded message in two different ways - either Air Miles ("you have won 2800 dollars") or Scotia Financial (I have also had a real person and they call me at ten am on Saturdays and Sundays). If anyone knows how to make it stop, PLEASE TELL ME

I received several calls from (416) 847-8742 number with no talking i would like identify the person
and warn him/her and fine or disconect their line for disturbing people immediately.

I keep getting these calls too from this number...I don't even deal with Scotiabank or anything Scotia. I think I might pick it up next time...found some interesting stuff on the internet on how to handle these calls. My plan is to waste their time-just for a laugh. Check out the funny things you can do to telemarketers, because really that's all they are. Harmless, but funny no less.
