If call to your cell phone. Their is an option to block that number

They're trying to alert you that your card has been compromised

We both receive these calls on a daily basis on each of our cell phones. We dont answer out of town calls from people we dont know. But one day i got fid up & answered but they hung up. They also never leave a voicemail so obviously its not important. So im listing the number as an unsafe caller. We dont have time for this harassment because we  own our own business & its just tying up our phone lines!

Optima Communications needs to learn to take no for an answer.  I've had calls from them before.  And they shouldn't be hopping from one number to the next.  I've heard of them using 416-640-0651, 416-640-8753, 416-915-7930, 416-915-7933, 647-288-3817, and possibly 514-288-0428.

SCAM.....SCAM.....Do not answer !!!

Dont do that as they will call you more

Always call when your at work. Husband who is an account holder on my account pleasantly asks lady who is calling for me if he can take message but they won't even give him a name or number for me to call back. Call display recorded their number to which I called left a message politely asking that they remove my number cease all calls, or I will be forced to close all my accounts with Scotiabank.

I know it is a call center as they don't say anything on my answering machine. I don't answer unlisted numbers as the time I did it said it was my bank phoning me and the phone ringing wake me up and that told me that I should go on line and go to my bank site as there was something wrong on there. I did but then I thought what is this? I turned off my internet and he kept on saying put u'r password in so I say just a minute, hang up on him and called the bank number on the back of my debt card and they told me that who every they are they were trying to take out $8,000.00 from your account. I said to her I wish I did have that in there. She thanked me for phoning her as quick as I did.

its scotia insurance trying to sell you stuff l have asked them not to call again but to no avail and blocked them so they use a different # so i guess its dump scotiabank time

Pulling your accounts from that bank would do nothing to stop them calling. Download a free 'Calls Blacklist' and then add that number to the numbers being blocked.

I've been getting these calls for months and keep blocking it, they change their number every time, everytime it's a different number but the same people, this is harassment and ridiculous
