Same here, got the call today, a Saturday.  Did not answer, but noticed the caller ID shows "LA Dept of Pub SC"

I doubt this is any sort of state agency calling on a Saturday afternoon, holiday weekend.

Ddp social services keep calling

I got this number 2 times a day and today Saturday morning. Didn't answer it at all.

As much as some are claiming this number belongs to "Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services", the caller ID to my phone DID NOT say anything about who was calling. The display only provided the number. Has the caller ID provided that name, I would have answered. I am monitoring my logins to social services portals for any online messages etc. And I will answer the call if/when it comes again. But this morning, they rang my number FOURS TIMES in the span of one minute. Further, they did not leave a message. The LA County DPSS automated system will leave a message, such as a reminder to file SAR-7 which is due this month -- at least for me.

The people claiming that this number is legitimate are shills for the scammers. No one looks up a phone number when they know who it was that called. Your phone company fills in the Caller ID based on the phone number. There are multiple reasons that your phone company did not furnish a name including that they were too cheap to pay the fee to get the name.

This number is a scam!! I tried call scam number just hangs up, I called the real number and was told they never tried to contact me! So you must be apart of the scam

This # called me 3 times today but when I answered no one is saying anything and I do not have a case at the La County Dpss so why are the calling me that's weird
