this company very rude and nasty the guy was screaming at me for no reason so please do not listen to them I just ask him what was the ref of the call and he hang up on me

A rude man, whose name appeared on caller id as Richard Friedman at 440-735-5100 called my home asking for my husband in a caustic tone which put me on the defense.  I told him he was at the office.  He said "there is nobody there but a bunch of robots there and he needed to speak with him.  I was floored that anyone doing business with him could be so rude.  I asked why he was calling and then tried to probe a bit.  He didn't like me probing and started parroting me.  I told him I was calling the police and that he better stop calling and I hung up on him.  He called me right back and said he wanted to speak to an adult.  - My voice is deep and I sound like a mature female.  He started parroting me again and tried to verbally intimidate me, at which point I hung up.  Thank goodness there are websites such as that expose these a nasty scams.

Been receiving calls from this company for over two months saying it's an urgent call and giving callback number and reference no.  When I call back, I never get a person -- only voice mail to leave a message.  I believe they are calling my number in error.  I checked them out on the internet and they don't look like a reputable group, so I am curious to know how they got my number and why they are calling me.  They may be after someone with the same last name because it is quite a common name.  The call back number they leave is 440 735 5115.

I received 2 calls so far (both calls were made to my fathers house, not ours) Justy so happens we are a Jr and Sr. He has received had 2 VM's the 1st was VERY unclear; All my father could make out is that an attorneys office had called and wanted us to return the call ASAP to the 5115 number and left a case #. My father tryied to do the right thing and relay the message to us... the 2nd VM was much clearer stated They were calling from Law firm MBW and reference #. But this time did not ask for anyone in partiocular...

My husband and I own a business and do NOT want to take any chances with our credit... But after reading all of these testimonials I am not sure that I want the harrasement. Presently they are not calling me.. However, I do not want to have my father go through what some of you have had to bare... listening to these people... someone said it took them 6 months to get rid of them... What should we do... PLEASE ADVISE if you would.

At least I can tell my husband we are not alone... He is freaking out...

You can do one of 3 things -  1 - Send them a "Cease and Desist" letter to their physical address.  Legally the must stop calling you or you can sue.  2 -  State there is fraud on the account and the file will be sent back to the original lender. 3 - Offer to settle for 15% or claim you will file bankruptcy.

Got a call from them today and when I answered they hung up on me. Glad I Googled the number and found this site.

We got a call this morning from 440-735-5100 stating that our house wasn't legally ours.. to top it off they claim to be a law office. They had a client who still had the "title" on the house. Total BS. My wife told them to call me on at work and they never did. I think they need to have the federal government busting down their doors and ripping the phones out of the walls. Idiots. I hope no one is falling prey to them.

They are a collection agency in Ohio - They claim to be a law firm, though they are not.

They do not stop calling. They have been calling my office in Canada for a debt we do not owe for 2 years now. The calls stop for a while and start up again. Daily calls. It is an auto-dialer computer that calls. You have to call them back and pay the long distance in order to speak to a person, but it does no good. I am in the process of sending them monthly invoices for phone charges with the intention to take THEM to collections when they don't pay.

They called me and I called them back.  I read all the posts on this list and figured that they were blown out of proportion....then I spoke with a man who started yelling at me for taking a position that he didn't like.  I've never had a phone call that was such a verbal assault as this was.
The company that turned me in was INTUIT PAYMENT SOLUTIONS.   I resolved the matter with Intuit about 2 weeks ago, and 3 days later this company started calling.
First thing I have to say is don't ever do business with Intuit Payment Solutions.  The customer rep I worked with was above average and great, but I think the company is a mess.  They have much higher rates than a comparable company Square, and their bureaucracy is nightmare to deal with.
As for the collections company - my experience is consistent with what other people have said on this board.  
I'd recommend calling just to find out who sent you to collections and then call the company that sent you to collections to resolve the matter, because you won't get anything done with McCarthy, Burgess, & Wolf.
Isn't it amazing that people want their names on a company that is as UGLY as this?  I can't believe it.

Apparently ATT Advertizing , now YP.com uses them for their collection attempts.

Also been getting calls from Richard Friedman stating he is an attorney and if we do not return his call right away he will be starting legal proceedings against us.   He leaves no reference number, only a 877 number which is long distance.  I am very ill at home and have become disabled.  I can`t begin describe the effect has had on my stress levels and my health, which I can not waste on people like him.  Is this guy with the collection agency mentioned here of MBW...
I almost get into tears listening to the VMs.  He`s been calling for weeks.  I`m sure its a pre recorded msg because it is always the same.  I don`t know if he is really a lawyer, though now I have my doub ts.  It`s actually made me feel better reading all of your comments.

If you read my comment below, I was also contacted my this rude jerk, fortunately, I never pick up unknown calls and just listen to the vms.  He has been calling ffor several weeks and the calls are very threatening.  I wish I knew how to stop them but I read some good comments below.  I will try and send a certified letter for stopping all phone calls.    You should do the same, good luck.

They have been calling me on my private cell phone and leave a message of silence.  I blocked their # so they won't be able to call anymore...hopefully it works, as I don't owe any debts.

I received a call from this place on my personal private cell phone. The message was for someone else. Not me at all. I called them to tell them they called the wrong number...woman was very riddance did not apologize at all. They need to be taught some manners at the very least. They also leave personal information about the personnel message is for. This is a breach of confidentiality. I blocked and blacklisted them on my phone.
