I got this message too today.  I'm unclear on what he is trying to do?  He sends a bogus cheque and then what?

I'm really getting very tired of these time wasting scammer idiots!
Now I just wast their time back, by sending fictitious addresses (like the middle of a cemetery) ;)
And imaginary bank account numbers.... lol!

Got the same message from Adam.Mattinson15@yahoo.com last month, and now I just got a 'check' in the mail from GE/Hudson Bay company for $3000.00. I wasted a month's rent thinking this was real. I realized it was a fraud when he sent me the same 1st email after 3 mails back and forth. I googled the content of his email and found this page. Glad I found out it was a scam before wasting more time on this character. He found me through a room for rent on Craigslist.

Also he replied with Adam.Mattinson1@yahoo.com, not the same address he initially wrote to me from.

I got the same message today, for Adolpho Cruz. Glad I googled it!

there are posts from all over canada claiming this is a scam.
they will send you a cheque for too much money for rent saying that it includes the payment for shipping a vehicle and ask you to reimburse the thousands of dollars sent by accident.

The scam is exactly what the previous poster said - they send you a money order for far more than you are asking for and tell you cash it and then send them back the extra money.  The money order is fake and you are out the money you mail back to them.
