I was going through google to see if I could find some information about someone trying to rent and I was shocked when I found this site.  The message is so similar to the one he/she sent to me.  Especially about visiting his mother who is sick.

I just got scammed as well,  I even gave him my name & address & was thinking about skyping him.  THANK GOODNESS I GOOGLED Gotenborg, Sweden and saw that he spelled it wrong.  I wrote him back to say I would rather to rent to someone personally instead of over the internet because there are so many scams out there. I then P.S him and told him I was sorry to hear about his Mom's passing-he never told me this I was 1 step ahead of him.

I got suspicious when he asked what was included in the rent (which was in the ad), and didn't ask for pictures of the place (the ad says pictures are available upon request). I googled the name and found this forum. Thought I should let everyone know the asshat is still operating.

Hi, I got the exact same message with the exact same information.  I will now make sure to play a good trick on him (I will ask him for his real name, date of birth and full address because I need to verify his i.d. before renting and that he has to ship me the first month BY WESTERN UNION or BY EMAIL TRANSFER).  I don't think he will email me real money or do a Western Union money transfer, if he is out there to look for money.

I am currently telling him that I am coming to Sweden to return the money personally. lol

The sick %^&*()_ did the same to me; I am in West Vancouver.  I actually had a conversation with him and he was sobbing on the phone that his mother had just died.  I received a cheque from a company in Toronto, for $3,500.  He contacted me to say that his company had made a mistake and he needed me to return $1,500 so that he could pay his shipper.  Oh, and would I mind doing it through Western Union.
I contacted the company that originally issued.  They advised me that they had had a series of company cheques which had been stolen by a former employee.

When I spoke with Western Union, they said they always issue a 10 digit confirmation number - just random numbers.  So I emailed Wrenly and told him the money had been sent, and I provided a bogus confirmation number.  He (along with his shipped) kept emailing me saying that the $$ was still not in the account.  So I said that I had made a mistake with the last digit, and here was the correct number.  Again, 2-3 days of frantic emails saying the money had not arrived.  Then I received an email asking me why I would be dishonest and play games with his head.  

My reply was
Buy yourself a mirror!

This guy is the biggest scam artist around!!

I almost fell for this trick and was going to pay from my personal account as he cried over the phone and wanted me to help him out financially with the mess.. Then this was too good to be true so I googled it and found out the whole thing was a scam.
