Just received a call - actually 2 missed calls on my T-Mobile cell, and I am on the National Do Not Call List.

We just got the same call. With call display so he did not answer it.
We registered our cells with the Canada government Do Not Call registry..what a farce..they sold it so companies would know what numbers NOT to call.  My government is full of idiots..

We are going to have to change our numbers soon...and NOT report it to the do not call list

PS NB Canada is where we are at.

I have received 2 calls today from this number 479-284-8989. I did not answer the calls, since I did not recognize the phone number. From the other postings on this site, I'm glad I did not answer it :)

Just doing my part by reporting in hopes that these calls do not continue.

I too received a call from this number this evening ... Spanish lady, ... sounded like a recording.  It was a short message and then they hung up.

Recieved a call from 479 284 8989, did not answer, and i am also in New Brunswick Canada.
I'm curious if this website helps investigate phone spammers, or do a bunch of people post the same thing over and over and over like i'm doing?

Caller ID said Hector Arizona, seems like we've had a rash of calls from weird places, so we don't answer.  If it was important they'd leave a message...but none of those random calls are leaving messages.  Is this some new kind of scam?  Or just an old scam that has started calling my number?

I received a call from this number at around 1 PM EST on March 16. I don't know this number and I didn't pick up; it showed up later when I checked my Received Calls, but I didn't get a message saying that I had 1 Missed Call.

Jus got a call from this phone but didnt answer. came on to check the area code and found this. 7:35 PM, march 18th

Called at 11:22 PM, didn't leave a message.

Cell phone soliciting. Inappropriate and illegal.

Have received several calls from this number (4792848989). Googled it, and can only get thatthe number is from Hector, Arkansas.

Just got a call from this number, did not answer. no voicemail received.  no idea how they got my number. Its my cell phone and im in NY.

Didn't answer the call when it came through.  They left a blank voicemail.

yeah I got a call from this number too but didn't recognized it so I didn't pick up.  Im glad that I saw everyones comments.  It's seems to me that whom ever is calling is just trying to scam people into getting their personal information so beware because this number seems like its nothing but a SCAM  If you don't recognize the area code or number DON'T PICK UP THE CALL.  Wait and see if they leave a message if not then just google the number and it will tell you the name or address of the person who is calling.  thanks google for saving me some headaches.
