Thank you, they called me today as well, only asked for the last 4 of my ss# and asked for the things I left blank too. I googled Serco North Am and healthcare.gov and Serco is the agency healthcare.gov is using. hope this helps others

this person claimed to be from the Healthcare Market - not an 800 number. I did not give out info, said I was not able to talk right then. the number 479-877-3203

Got the call from them too.  Didn't bite.

Received a call from Monica, stating she is agent A43536 needing more info for healthcare.gov app to process.

I keep receiving incomplete voicemail messages saying that they need more information regarding my application for marketplace insurance.

I got one also and when he asked for my address to confirm my identity i told him i will call back he became curt and said he would mail the info. after reading the different stories here i believe this to be a scam.

I received a call from this unknown number at 8pm my time (9pm in Arkansas) on December 31! Do you expect me to believe an insurance company wants to verify information for insurance that will  begin coverage tomorrow? I am appalled by these scammers and their attempts to defraud good hard working Americans.

I have received 2 calls from this number 4798773203. The first time they asked for last 4 of social and I said I would not give that info over phone and to call my agent.  Igot another call on 12/23 that claimed they were from healthcare reform act. I was SO dumb and gave them last 4 of my ss# and verified my kids dates of birth. DUMB I know!  I have been losing sleep with the worry of id theft. I will call reform act tomorrow.

I received a call from this number, the voicemail stated they were calling from the Health Insurance Marketplace Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services, and just notified me that some of the family members on my healthcare.gov application qualified for Medicaid or CHIP and that the marketplace was transferring my information to them, and gave me the direct contact information for those agencies. Didn't ask me to call back or for any personal info.

I got a phone call from this 479-877-3203 They asked for my SS# I said if you are from the Marketplace you should already have it. Then I said can you verify my address please, they proceeded to say what are you stupid we are from the government and of course we know your information we are trying to make sure that you are MArk Lyvers now can you please verify your SS# and I said OK hold on a second I need to make a quick call to the heathcare.gov site and make sure you are really them.
They hung up on me, how rude!

Just got a call from this number from a woman wanting to speak to my wife.  I asked if I could take a message.  She said that someone in "her household" is eligible for Medicaid and she wanted to give her more information.  I asked if my wife had contacted them. She said no, she was on a list of hers to call.  I said, "So is this an unsolicited call?"  She immediately hung up.

I just received a similar message about Healthcare.gov...

Being next to the pc when he called, I googled the number and found this page....
Told the guy I did so... and told him he was a scammer... he said "ok buddy" and hung up....

This is a legitimate call.

we started receiving call from this today. and if as some of you are saying that it's a "legit company for the Affordable Care Act", very strange that they'd need my information/ need more information.. because I completed the app 2 months ago.

I too received a call from this, and they indicated it was part of the Healthcare Marketplace. She told me I could go to my state's website to update my application information or call a toll free number. I will just go to the website that I had initially logged onto

Got a call from this number.  They left a message having to do with a part of my healthcare eligibility that only an authorized person would know.  They didn't ask for a call back, just directed me to call my state office.  I'm reasonably certain its a legitimate call.

Just got a missed call from this number. Based on this feed, I'm so glad I didn't pick up.  I don't know anyone from Arkansas and was confused, so I googled and found this thread.  Whatever you do, don't give strangers your personal information over the phone.

Guys, this is not a scam.  Serco is a government contractor (which to me are basically scams) and the biggest company you've never heard of.  They will call to verify information that was submitted wrong or entered into the system wrong.  I will say, only give them the info they ask for because you will likely still not get verified (because of the terrible design of the new healthcare application system and the many many contractors working on it) and they will probably keep your info regardless of whether your application is successfully completed.  If this number calls you and you want health care through the marketplace, give them the info they ask for.  If not, your app will likely fall through the cracks and to be honest, it likely will anyways as the system is a complete wreck.

Just because they got the info that you submitted to healthcare.gov (it seems that is where they got everyone's info from), that doesn't make it legit.  There is obviously a security breach of some sort.
