I got a call from this very number today.  Informing me to call about a very urgent matter.  The funny thing is I have read all the posts concerning this number/company.  I don't have any outstanding medical bills, so why are they calling? How did they get my cell phone number? I only give it to family and friends.

Automated "robocalls" to cell phones are illegal unless you have given out your phone number in connection with the debt.  Also, anonymous automated calls are illegal, and this company appears to be breaking that rule by making calls that do not contain the name of the company.  If you are getting these calls, please be sure to document the time, date, and content of each one.  Each call to a cell phone is worth up to $1500 in damages in the event that we bring a class action suit, or if you want to pursue it on your own in small claims court.

The most important thing is to save all evidence.  Write down all information that you have about each illegal phone call (date, time, caller ID, content of call).  Save recordings and voicemails of calls whenever possible.

I typically take action after I have received several calls from the same source.  How you want to handle this depends entirely on your comfort with the legal system and how much time you want to invest in it.  You may take the company to small claims court, or may simply file a complaint with your state attorney general and let them handle it (in which case you won't get any damages but the company may be fined).  If you get more than a few calls, then the amount of damages will be non-trivial (min. of $500 per call and max. of $1500) so it is best to talk to an attorney.

My first step is always to contact the caller and offer to settle things out of court with a small payment (typically in the hundreds of dollars) and an agreement for them to stop calling.  However, I think this may be an especially egregious case.  There are multiple violations per call, and the company has allegedly been doing this for 2 1/2 years or more (based on comments I have seen elsewhere).  This may justify stronger action, like a class action lawsuit and attorney general's investigation.  I will have to see how they respond to my complaint and whether they seem willing to correct the problem.

Right now I am still in evidence-gathering mode, so if anyone else gets these calls please post information here.  I'm especially interested in hearing about automated calls to cell phones (illegal in most cases) and prerecorded/synthesized voice messages that omit the name of the caller (always illegal).

This number JUST called me, it's 1:38pm. It was on my cell phone, it was an automated message, they didn't not give any company name or any person to contact or even say what they were calling for, and I have not spoken to any debt collection agency to give them my cell phone number. This is not how you get someone to call you back, and as far as I know, I have paid all of my medical bills, in the doctor's office at the time of my visit.

I just had a call and answered it, because I thought maybe it was someone I knew calling from a different number and before I even said hello, they hung up. Not very professional if they are, in fact, a debt collection company.

WE are planning on filing against them. We get hang up calls and dead ait voicemails. I called them back on July 2ns and asked them to remove our cell phone number. They stated they did not have it in their systems and that they aren't calling me. I have sincereceived 4 calls with dead air voicemails. We are saving them all and are in the process of filing a lawsuit.

I have received two calls, one on 07/06/2012 and one on 07/10/2012.  Like most of these, only breathing voice mails.  What can I do to stop them? They are on my cell phone, which is a brand new # and has been given to no one.  I don't owe any bills.
