- williams replies to Chicago-IL| 1 replycomcast uses them dish network uses them, direct tv uses them aarons sales and lease uses them, rent a center uses them. this is a computer generated call and is one of many numbers that the collection agency uses solely to establish contact. when the computer at the other end registers that a human has answered, your number will be placed on the "active answer list" and u will start receiving calls from humans. don't answer the call, and u shouldn't receive anymore than a bi-weekly call from this number. if you answer however, get ready for a hellstorm of calls about ur past due balance(s). gone are the days of thirty people sitting in an office blowing up ur phone. its a waste of money. they now use a computer to locate a usable number and then the calls can be made to the verified working number, saving precious money, and manpower. -Williams
- Vinchento Dontinelli replies to Chicago-ILIt is correct -- this is a harmless call from a return center. I guess they process these return of leased equipment after you terminate your contract with someone like a cable company, dish TV or in my case Direct TV. They left me a message, just making sure I had gotten the empty boxes and was going to return it. It's not a fraud or a bill collector, so don't panic.
As soon as I got the call just now. I went to look on my front porch and there they were - the empty boxes. I'm glaqd they called because i big bos with a valuable eBay purchase I had just made was sitting there with it. Since I did not expect the eBay thing until Monday and because I do not ever use this door (going out and in through the garage) my package could have been ruined with the heavy rains forcasted for today, so hurray for ol' 508-623-2299, you saved me a lot of grief!!! - jjessCall from directv about returning a receiver.

- JoseIs Comcast. they want their equipment back...
- A LeffingwellI received a call on my cell phone saying they were with AT & T and that they had shipped my phone to an address in the town I live in...not mine. I did not order a phone and called AT&T immedialtely. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION it is a scam to get your personal information.

- Labor ReadyJust received the call. When I called the number back it came up In Process Technology.

- Tracy MI received a call from this number on my cell phone, saying that they were calling about Comcast equipment that needs to be returned. The message also threatened that if the call was ignored, I may receive a bill of $500.
We have Comcast Triple Play, and have had it for over a year without any changes. When I called the number they instructed, they said they couldn't identify that I had an account with Comcast (I was calling from my home number). They wanted me to enter the phone number that the message was received on.
At that point I hung up the phone and called Comcast Security. The representative confirmed that OnProcess is a third party collection company they use to enforce outstanding debts. He checked the record associated with my cell phone number and told me that number was listed with an account that was canceled over a year ago, which is why he suspects it has been turned over to a third party.
He said that since that account has been turned over to a third party, he has no way of making changes to the account information to remove my number from the record OnProcess is trying to collect on.- Caller: OnCall on behalf of Comcast

- John| 1 replyIt's attached to 304-288-0409
- Caller: On process.
- Janet replies to JohnI get that number call me all the time. And no one answers. That number belongs to 304-288-0409.
It's a scam. It not ATT or Comcast. - BrianThe 508-623-2299 belongs to 304-288-0409. And that 304 number never answers. If you answer the 508 number your caller ID will change to 304 number. On process is more on a caller ID changer. The person who calls you from that number is finding out who you are????? This 508 number means someone is finding out who you are? On process works half of the time. That's why on your caller ID the 508 number showed up. But also the the 304. So be fast and write the number down. So good luck. The person is good!!!! Because it's a pre-paid phone. And never answers Think about it. Scam number.
People who use this number are looking you up for some reason.- Caller: On process
- Labor ReadyNever answer the 508-623-2299. On process has an answer machine. What's the reason for this! They want you to leave a message with your name and number. You just got scammed. Someone just found out who your are! Caller ID always shows 508 number. But if you are watching your phone when it rings it shows up as 304-288-0409 and changes to the 508. Scam not really. Someone just wants to know who you are without you knowing it .Question is why? I tell you why. Because this service is used to downloads number from a other phone they have call in the past. And it searches the numbers it has downloads for potential sales. Or keeping an eye on their mistress. People use this on pre paid phones so you can't trace their number. Reason to use this, sales, cheating on their spouse , and people stealing you business contacts.

- PaulLOL @ people who are reporting this as a scam number.
I had HP replace a network switch on Monday, and this was just a followup call on behalf of them to ensure I received the replacement, and to ensure I was going to ship back the dead one.
But yeah it was a scam!!

- Chris replies to Chicago-ILComcast, they left a message stating I needed to return some equip or they could charge up to $500. $500 is crazy I could buy that piece of equip at goodwill for $1.99. Anyway I did not even change my account so they must be confused. I will call and tell them what's up and ask for the confusion credit equaling that of a monthly service fee.
- Already SentFrom reading all the posts on here, I'm guessing the call is about my husband's defective cell phone that we sent back 3 days ago. It would have gotten out sooner, but the post office that we usually take things to either caught on fire or had a bomb threat and my husband could not send it out when he originally tried.
- charlene jamesKeep getting a call from 508-623-2299 stating I have their equipment and need to return. I have never done business with any such company.

- Not a Comcast User| 2 repliesGot a call from this number, with a message that I didn't return equipment to Comcast and would be charged up to $500 if equipment was not returned. Funny thing is - I am not a Comcast customer. In fact, Comcast does not even service my neighborhood!
I called the referenced call-back number (18008697808), and the rep said she couldn't find my account and that I needed to provide additional information. I hung up... this is a scam. Don't waste your time.- Caller: On Process on behalf of Comcast
