It's Macy's I made a payment but they still call daily and harrass me because I didn't make the payment amount what they thought it should be. Don't they realize we are in an economic crisis?

This was actually a legitimate call that I received from this number. I looked up Bloomingdales toll free customer service number and called that just to be sure that it wasn't spoofing or spam and it turned out that they connected me with their Fraud department as someone had placed an online order in my name using my card but was shipping to another address.

This is the Macy's consumer protection line. I purchased cosmetics online as a gift for my mother and they needed to verify that the purchase was authorized since the billing and shipping addresses were different.

This was the second time I made this purchase since two weeks ago and I apparently had the same problem. I didn't call back to verify the purchase so they cancelled it.

You should check your bank statement to make sure no one used your information on Macy's site.  Some one called me from this number just to find out that some [***] out there got my information and purchased $100 gift card under my account.  Check yours...

This phone number is legitimate and it's Macy's; however, it's part of the Consumer Fraud Department. I shipped items to my work address, but I forgot to change my maiden name to my married name. Macy's was kind enough to call and verify this information with me before placing the order.

i received several calls from this number but i didn't answer as i didn't recognize the number.  then i got an email saying a macy's order i had placed the previous night had been cancelled.  i called the 800 number listed in the email.  they had cancelled the order because i didn't answer those telephone calls from the 513 number; they apparently were trying to verify it was really me who had placed the order since the shipping address was different from the billing address.  so yes, the 513 number is definitely legit and not a scam or fraud.  they were just looking out for me :)  nice to hear this day and age.  i was a little peeved that they were so quick to cancel the order, but it wasn't an issue reordering everything, at the same sale prices i had paid the night before.

I'm Glad I took this Call!
This number called twice last night, and left one message.  Said they were from Macy's.com, used my husband's name, and said they needed more information about an online order placed yesterday.  I asked my husband if he placed an order yesterday (knowing full well that it was way too soon for him to do any Christmas shopping).  He said he did not.  I looked online and saw these posts, and figured it was a big-time scam.  We don't have a Macy's credit card, and how would they get our home phone number connected with the right name?
This morning, they called again, and something told me to pick up.  The woman again said she was from Macy's, and told me the charges were made with his AMEX card, and said my husband needed to call them back.  I looked online, and sure enough, there were two charges to Macy's that we did not authorize, along with another small charge to a sporting goods company.  AMEX was called and they are issuing us another card.  These charges were too small for AMEX to pick up as being suspicious.  So thank you, Macy's, for alerting us to these charges.  You may have saved us a bundle of hassle.

I made an online purchase from Macys and later that day received a message saying I must call back the samme day.  I did not call.

It was Macy's calling concerning an online order that I indeed make but since we moved they wanted to make sure it was really me that placed the order, they could not have been nicer, I am grateful for their fraud department looking out for me!

I looked up this number, after answering the call--haha; anywho.

For me it was Bloomingdale's calling to confirm the delivery address for an order I placed with them the previous day, that was all

These people put a charge on my account and said it was being shipped to Syracuse NY.
I am under the impression that they are a company who want you to buy their credit protection service.
This kind of business is invasive and should be illegal.

Btw, they did the same exact thing to me a year ago -with the same purchase and city! Who buys a steamer mop in Syracuse NY as fraud? Wouldn't they buy other things like a ticket to Disneyland or something? lol
