- Anonymous replies to FedUpTaxpayerThank you for the link to report my complaint. I just reported it. Thanks again for the tip.
- K replies to HANKYou don't have to put up with it, very simple, you can block anyone's phone # on your home and/or cell
- Marketing ResearchServices info@mrsi.comThe following below is research done by one of your fellow reporters - please cut and paste to carry the info forward on your post -- too bad WE can't cause them the pain/annoyance/disruption of thousands of useless calls since they are crank calling the thousands of us. Turn about would be fair-play to jam their lines and tie up their system as they jam our lines, use our vmail, our phone and cell lines, our techno devices and billing records.

The name of this company is Marketing Research Services Inc. They are based out of Ohio and are telemarketers. They have been terrorizing my phone for months.
Today I reversed the number and found their name.
I went on line to their web site and found their after hours urgent number.
I called it and asked for a Manager.
She seemed taken back by me bothering her. I asked her why she is repeatedly calling my home even though I am on the do not call registry. First they denied it, but then wanted my number to take it off their list. I asked how the can take my number off their list if they do not call me?
She then said I must of signed up for something and that's how they got my number. I explained that I NEVER give my number out, unless its family, school, work etc.. I then went on to tell her that I am posting her number on all the complaint sites about this company and requesting that anyone who is as pissed as me should give them a jingle and let them know how much you enjoy being harassed by them.
Please re explain the laws again to her regarding the do not call list.
You can call 513-579-1555 24 hours a day. Press the call center option and demand to speak to the manager.
I would also send them a email at info@mrsi.com
Then report them to the ftc. Please tell her to get her head out of her a**, like I did.- Caller: Marketing Research Services Inc. in Ohio info@mrsi.com 513-579-1555

- Mr Toad replies to FedUpTaxpayerSince they do not sell or solicit anything, and are only doinf surveys/opinion marketing, that law doesnt apply to them. Do some research before you make a post like that.
- Mr. Ignore CallsI have been getting calls from 513-562-1300 (MRSI) at least twice daily 7 Days a week and as late as 9 PM. I allow my answer machine to pick up and they leave no message. I'm not so sure it is a good idea to email them or even call their numbers because I suspect they would also have caller ID and this would be a red flag that they have your attention. Plus answering their calls again might only escalate the problem. As for email, I get enough SPAM and this would likely encourage them to sell my email address or send their own spam. Unfortunately doesn't seem there is anything I can do other than just ignore their calls or pick up and blow a horn into the phone.....hummmm now there is an idea :-)

- ddmThey are a marketing research firm. After ignoring several calls over the past few days, I finally decided to pick it up and see what it was about. In my case, they were contracted by CNN/ORC to conduct a telephone survey about the usage of cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and other tobacco products. The woman I got was quite nice, and when I explained that I was getting quite annoyed at the number of times they call, she told me that numbers are randomly selected by a computer. If there is no answer, the number goes back into the pool, and is dialed again later. The people conducting the survey have zero control over the list of numbers, and do not have the authority to take you off the list even if they wanted to. Since I know people that have worked in call centers and report similar things, I believed her. She gave me a corporate number I could call to ask to be taken off her list. She also told me that if I did the survey (which took <2 minutes), the computer would mark me as complete and wouldn't call again for that survey. My number might be randomly selected again in the future, of course.
The national do not call registry is really quite ineffective considering how many exemptions there are.- Caller: MRSI

- Fed up!MRSI calls and hangs up after 2nd ring. Never leaves message. This is harassment! Why doesn't Congress act on this type of thing?
Called MRSI (found number in posting on this site) and left voice-mail. Also filed complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx- Caller: MRSI
- kmkirbI'm sorry, but most people posting here that are complaining have absolutely no clue as to what the National Do Not Call Registry is all about. It was never meant to STOP ALL CALLS. The DNC was only meant to reduce calls, but in no way limits many of the companies that are still allowed to call. I highly suggest getting informed & the only way to do that is go back & read all of the fine print on the DNC site. All surveys, political affiliations, & others are still legally allowed to call. Another thing, you can thank technology for all the dead air when you think no one is there the majority of the time. If you were NOT so impatient, many times there is someone there, but due to late connections you can't hear them YET but they can hear you. Another thing, in most cases, the caller is not allowed to leave you a message. They have to talk to you personally as there are questions that need answering, & a voice machine is not going to provide that, so there's no point in leaving a message. And finally, the person making the call is a real live person just trying to make a little bit of money in this disgusting economy where we no longer have jobs thanks to offshoring, outsourcing, credit checks that is simply a discrimination tactic to refuse jobs to qualified people, etc. These callers literally make pennies per hour, but ONLY if you listen to what their bosses have instructed them to say. If they can't at least let you know why they are calling, hence hearing the entire script, they DO NOT GET PAID ANYTHING IN MOST INSTANCES. Truly, must you be that mean & cruel to deny people a paycheck when there aren't many alternatives to finding work these days? I'd rather be kind & human by listening to someone's script, spiel, offer, etc., & know that I am helping that person to receive a tiny bit of pay, than forcing them to go on government assistance. And finally, after listening to the person, you can always kindly ask to be put on their own company's DNC list.
