This number calls us EVERY DAY to tell us to contact BELL Canada. However, We have called bell over 8 times and they do not know why they are calling. Our account is not overdue so we are currently harassed for no reason. It is very frustrating.

Call the police IMMEDIATELY. This is a con artist who is trying to fish for your information. If you do what the number instructs you to do they will have the means to steal your money and your identity.

got the call today, I have spoke with Bell Canada and Bell Sympatico about my service during the holidays and this call doesn't sound like them at all!  Complete scam.

THIS IS A SCAM . THEY SAY THEY ARE FROM BELL AND WANT YOU TO PAY THE PHONE BILL AND ASK YOU FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD # AND DATE OF BIRTH.  TWO THINGS CAN HAPPEN . YOU WILL HAVE YOUR ID USED AND/OR CREDIT CARD .

REPORT THIS TO THE POLICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received this call today, the caller ID didn't show it but i received an email from my answering machine showing the very same phone number asking to call bell canada. My account is not overdue so i do believe is kind of a scam.

Getting the same on a daily as well. Our account isn't past due either. Thanks for the tip.

Got this number 5-6 times in 1 day. Googled it up and found out it could be "bell scam". It stopped for a good month, then today I got this number (forgetting who it is, i answered it) and I got an answering machine
"English message will follow [French] abcdefghijk bla bla... etc" I hung up right away.

Got it today, with an eletronic voice saying "please stand by, an english message will follow". Scam all the way...

they called me too left a message to call this number back, then when they stated the hours that Bell was open, I knew something was up..so yes it is a scam

got a Call today!

Nobody at Bell or at Bell Mobility sent the message...

They called asking for my dad
I called bell (310-surf) right away asking if 514-490-9548 is a bell number.
Bell didn't know the number but it did show in the records that a message was left 5 minutes prior to my call to bell.
They called regarding an overdue bill that had already been paid.

They called and asked for my former boarder.  I said that she doesn't live here, and then he said, "Well I need to speak to whoever is in charge of the Sympatico account for (my phone number) regarding a past due amount."  I told him that if I had a Sympatico account, it would be in my name, not my boarder's name. He then tried to make it sound like my phone bill was past due.  I told him that I pay my bills on time every month and I know this is a scam. He tried to act like some [***] bill collector and say that my account is overdue and something about a collection agency.  I told him that I would call the police.

i see this phone number on my caller id at least 3 times a day but they never left any messages.

First of all I'm so glad citizens are uniting to take back their phones.

I got this number the other night and I looked it up and got this site.  Armed with the knowledge they called today and I answered.

They did say they were Bell, some lady with a thick foreign accent (sorry), I told her I knew it was a scam and that I was reporting her.  She said she absolutely was Bell, she'd give me her employee number and I could speak to her supervisor.  I told her that is all fabricated, I would call Bell back myself.  She tried to give me a number to call, I laughed and said sorry babe I'll call Emily - you are a Fraud.  
Okay so my account was a few days late but not crazy high.  

The other thing is...who has actually spoken to a real person in billing or queries after 430 pm.  Bell is somewhat notorious for bad customer service at this end so interesting this so called Bell is burning the midnight oil.

Is it possible that this is Bell employee?

I had a call early this morning from them and got the message of waiting for the English part and I hung up. They called back 10 minutes later and it was a guy with an accent. He said he was from Bell and seemed to know I had internet and satellite from Bell and asked questions about My account. I hung up and called Bell and the girl said if it was Bell calling, it would show as 800 or 900 numbers. She said it is not Bell and asked if I gave any information. I said no, which I am glad, and she said good. She took my number and the 514 number and will investigate it and get back to me.

That number appeared on my call display yesterday and they left no message at all.

This is very annoying. My Bell bill is not over due and I have an unlisted phone number but I tell you this...I live in a 705 area code not 514 ! Even if I was late on my bill I want to speak with someone who knows English. Fine we have people here from other countries, that don't bother me but... if you wish to be a Canadian SPEAK ENGLISH !!!  If you phone a Canadian SPEAK ENGLISH !!
Apparently if you call the number back it hooks into your long distance pan...it's a scam, watch your phone bill !
