This is a scam. There's simply no debate about it. I received a call from them, asking me to call another number, and then they talked about my Bell phone service, which was funny, because I used Vonage. I told her I was aware that this was a scam and that what she was doing was illegal, and she hung up on me.

What saddens me is how little Bell has done about this, considering they've been receiving reports about this scam for some time now.

Same happened to me, Go registrer to the national do not call list.

It actually is Bell, so call the number on your bill instead if you want to talk to them at a different number. Then ou'll be 100% sure.

Ce numéro appel régulièrement chez moi, au début je répondais et ensuite je rappelais chez Bell Canada, mais jamais personne n'a pu me répondre pour m'informer qui avait appelé et pourquoi, ont m'a aussi informé de ne jamais donner mon numéro de carte de crédit et autre informations personnel et confidentiel, donc s.v.p. soyez prudent avec ce genre d'arnaque ça fini pas couté cher à chacun de nous. Et si vous remarquez que vous avez des frais supplémentaire sur votre facture appeler immédiatement chez Bell Canada avec le numéro 800.

I called back this number ... apparently this is not a good idea.
What should I do now ?

Ive been call so many times by that number.. answered.. no one at the end of the line.. saying it was a phone call from bell canada....

I just Filled a complaint on the CRTC website, ive been harrassed by so many different phone calls on my landline and cell phone lately its crazy ,
( numbers like 2345678900 or even 0000000000 !! i meann  feel a complaint too !!

I received this call shortly after 5pm today. They called my "Rogers" cell. I didnt answer it because I didn't recognize the number. Now I will answer it and mess with them a little. I love to have fun with these people. I suggest you enter your number in the 'National Do Not Call List'. They have 30 days to comply or they may be fined $10,000.

OK I am calling 310Bell regarding this number.  The rep is looking into it.....and the verdict is this is not BELL.

They suggested we should pick up the phone hang up dial *57 this will trace the call.  Yes it will cost $5.00.  Then we call 911 to make the report. The Bell rep I spoke to was not aware of this scam.

it seems sad we would have to incure the cost but it might save many other people who can not look up the number or can just be taken advantage of.  It would probably only take a couple of us to shut them down.

I got a call from this number but nobody spoke at all .... I am not going to report it but when they call again and I do get someone on the line I will most certainly have a little fun with them :-)

The also use another number 1 - 866 - 988 - 0885 but I can't seem to trace this number online at all .... I called back and I got the Bell Computer on the phone .... but this number calls me about 4 times a week.

I just called back the other number that I typed in and it is Bell Internet some group ... Of course I hung up but I do think im going to use the link someone above here gave to get taken of the list.

Bell can reach us through email and they know that.

Received INCOMING PHONE CALL that disturbed me during Dinner Hours (5PM to 7PM)... I was disturbed and concerned when I answered the Call because a Woman "politely" identified herself as: "Calling from BELL CANADA"... and asked to speak to either my Husband or I (A Red "Flag" went up in my mind at this point since the Account/MY OWN, SEPARATE PHONE NUMBER from my Husband's Account with HIS OWN, SEPARATE PHONE NUMBER - SAME RESIDENCE - is set up in my First Name Initial ONLY & Full Last Name (BOTH my Husband & I have the SAME First Name Initial).  BELL is MY and OUR Service Provider/Land Phone & Internet (Sympatico)and when I told the Woman: "This is Mrs. " "... She said that she was "calling about the Account" (I am keen to over 16 SCAMS going on at this time and was very cautious before I said anything to her).   It seemed a COINCIDENCE that she called on the BILLING DATE of my PHONE BILL (TODAY); BUT, When I heard the static from a very bad connection and looked at the Area Code on the Call Display, I was wary and told her that I couldn't talk now... I asked her to call me back and she said: "Can you call us back"... "I'll give you the Number" and I said: "Okay" listening to another Number she provided but didn't bother writing it down because I figured this was a SCAM (that I read about just last night on the Internet... Which has saved me alot of aggravation and stress worrying about Phone Calls that can control your LIFE)!   Everyone... I advise you to BE CAREFUL HANDLING THESE CALLS... SOME OF THEM MAY ORIGINATE FROM OVERSEAS... And, WHO do you think would want YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION there?

BTW, bell's english customer service is care for over-seas - some east indian area.  that is why we have difficulty understanding them.  it really ticks me off that we pay BELL a fortune for their sh*t service, and they don't have the nerve to give CANADIANS a job dammit.

I get  this number calling me all the time it is a scam if you call the number back you end up with long distance charges on your next bill for nothing it is not bell I called bell my self my bills are all paid and they had no notes on my account of being called do not give out any info to anyone calling from this number  it is a scam be careful.

Ayant l'afficheur, je ne réponds à aucun appel dont le nom est confidentiel ou inconnu. Que ce soit Bell ou nimporte qui, affichez-vous bordel !!!

this has been going on for a long time. why have not the phone company or the police stopped it yet.  so much for protection from scammers.

This is a legitimate number.  I called Bell at 310 SURF and they said it was the credit department.  You guys are paranoid - justifiably so, in this crazy world we live in - but still paranoid.  There is no problem with this number, and the overdue figure they quoted was actually correct.

We just received a call from this number as well. It was not a number we recognized on the caller ID so we did not answer it. They, of course, did not leave a message. We are in Alberta. Unlike the majority of the other postings here, we do not have Bell as our telephone provider, we use Telus.

Got a call today, didn't answer then called the number back. The recording said that bell tried to call and that they can't receive calls at this number. I was told to call 1-800-477-9205, which didn't even ring when I tried it!
