This number just called my cell phone. I don't answer numbers I don't know, especially if they don't have my area code.
Caller left no message, but I don't really care. :)

My friend called me on my cell phone and the number was 514-877-5000... so maybe it's like long distance number.....

Got a call from this number,
No clue what language they were trying to speak, or what language, but they hung up after trying to communicate with them.

This phone number is providing by Distributel.  This phone number is an access number used by their own customers to let them making long distance call without paying their calls by minutes ( from/to Canada and USA )

Everybody even a company (already a customer of Distributel) is able to use this number because is a general number for Montreal and is suburb.

The next time you receive a call from this number ask them if they are using Distributel and I am sure the answer is Yes and below is the web page where you can find a list of phone number using by Distributel

I rec'd a call from this number, on my skype phone. Called it back and got nothing but a ringing tone...these are bad people!

Ma mère fait affaire avec la compagnie Distributel dont le numéro est 514 877-5000. Elle l'utilise pour faire des longues distance ce numéro est une code!! Moi je répond toujours à ce numéro et je n'est jamais de problème c'est toujours ma petite maman. Je n'est jamais reçu d'appel d'arnaqueurs venant de ce numéro!! It is the phone number displayed for ANY calls from "anyone" (individual, legitimate companies or telemarketers) using a Montreal-based long-distance plan company called Distributel. It useless to try to call that number back.

I received a phone call from this number today. The message was for "Deborah", which is not my name. The message said they were from CL Active Wear and would remake 55 leotards for the Olympics and that they had spoken with China and they were going to ship them to me. The person had a hard time speaking english.

How does this number get our numbers??? Can we report them?

Read the comments people! It's a legitimate number for long distance calls. To call my friend, i call that number and press in HER number, and it's free for me because she's on the plan (as she commutes she doesn't want her friends to have to pay long distance just to call her). The company is Distributel, and it's a legitimate company. Some 'bad people', though, as we can see, can use it illegitimately. Distributel should be notified about strange calls from people trying to get personal information so that maybe they can track the calls and alert the proper authorities for the mis-use of their service.

This is a generic phone number from anyone using Distributel as a long distance plan. Therefore, it can come from a legitimate caller or from telemarketing. To avoid receiving unsollicited calls, register your phone number on the CRTC'S National Do Not Call List (https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/).

This man called my business number, claiming to work for Canadian Tire and wanting to discuss networking and promotion opportunities. We set up a meeting, and he gave me what turned out to be a fake email address and a fake return phone number. Obviously, he did not turn up for our meeting, so I cannot provide more details.  Looked up the original number he had called from, and it ws this 514-877-5000 Distributel number.

este numero es muy sospechoso siempre llaman y no dejan mensaje pero cuando un contesta siempre piden informationes personales ..la ultima llamada que recibi decian que cuantas personas habitaban aqui y quienes ivan a votar y nombres del futuro primer ministro. hoy 11 de noviembre llamaron para y no dejaron mensaje igual llamaron a mi cell.

Just got a late call (10:45 PM) from that number asking to talk to a guy but a name a forgot when I said wrong # he just hung up.

I hate those late night call anyway...........

I got no call from them but BELL charge me 3 calls that I would have done to that number.One minute each 0.25$ X 3 = 0.75$ ...2 minutes between each call.
I never caled that number.

What the hell BELL got to do with them.?????????
