I also received the same calls twice this week from persons speaking an Indian accent.  The first call came from a woman and the second call came from a man (206) 424-8457.  They somehow gather information used to obtain pay day cash loans over the internet.  The woman said I would be arrested on Wednesday.  I was not.  The man, Officer Joe Martin, said the same, I was not arrested.  I called the company I usually deal with and they said they have no idea who these people are.  Funny thing is I paid all my loans back in mid-august.   These people are FRAUDS.  Do not give them any money.

I have been getting the same calls as everyone for the past few weeks.  First it was an Adam Scott & now a Kevin McCoy. I returned some of the calls however the calls would no tgo through. Now when I call this 817 number, it directs me to a majoc jack number first. I had a friend of mine call who is in collections, to act like my attorney and the indian guy was cussing and yelling at him. My friend told me they are not legit. The thing is that they are calling my son's cell & my work number constantly. In way to get them to stopped. If I get another call I am reporting them.  Any other suggestions!

I have been receiving calls on my cellphone from a man with an Indian accent talking about a debt but I assumed it was a wrong number as I've only had this cellphone number for a year.  But today I got a call from 626-263-9260 at my house.  It was a guy with an Indian accent who said his name was Daniel Smith and he's an attorney for a company called PCS Finanical or something like that. He was calling about a PayDay Loan I took out for $476 and I needed to settle it immediately.  He had all my information (which I believe he got from a resume posted online) including references I had posted on my resume.  I am now closing down the email address he has and I am informing the people listed on my resume to be aware.  I have never taken a PayDay loan (not even sure what that is) and I don't have any outstanding debts. THIS IS A SCAM!!

    1) it's not fraud when you don't pay your bills on time
2)you can't be arrested for not paying your bills. The cops don't care whether you pay your bills or not.  There's no law stating that if you don't pay your bills your going to jail.
I'm having the same issue.  Except mine is from a number 5186498090 from a person by the name of officer jack green. Who says the same as all of yours.  The only difference is that mine says he's from the state investigation department of new york.  Big scam.  I asked for paperwork also in the mail still haven't received it. According to the verderal debt collection practices act their not supposed to contact you until like 35 days from the 1st phonecall. I get calls just about everyday. I asked for an address to mail a no contact letter and was given an apartment address in columbia, sc.

Ha ha I read all the reviews, I also receive calls from a 585-797-6995, and 416-971-2222. I have had messages from Mark Smith, Jim Parker and officer Sebastian. When I confronted them by stating that I had contacted the state law enforcement agency and my local police department I was "disconnected". Then they proceeded to tell me to wait 10 minutes and my State Law Enforcement agency to contact me. He would not give me any info as far as the complaint, not even a $$$ amount of what I owed. They did state it is a complaint against me for crimes I commited... So I went ahead and harassed them constantly, calling them numerous times each time I was hung up on or placed on hold then hung up on. Honestly I think they believe we were born yesterday! This has been going on for a couple of months but I never returned the calls, now they are threatening to call my employer. I work for a large company and any time you try to call unfortunately you get routed to the automated system and without a extension # you won't get through... I can only wish that they would stop the calls! As for BE SAFE, you do sound very much like Mark Williams or Jim Parker if only we could hear your voice I would definitely  be able to identify you that way.

Now our Mr. Black is Jack Wilson.  Same song, same dance.  Has criminal investigation against me.  Is from the Bureau of Investigation and has five charges against my SS no.  How can someone with a heavy, Eastern or Indian accent have a name like Jack Wilson.  What a farce.  Says he is going to arrest me.  Yeah, right!  You cannot arrest a person for a debt.  Stupid! Stupid!  I have kept his threats on my answering machine.  He even called my boss.  I hope he discloses this to my boss because then I can get his A**.  Go ahead, Mr. Black/Wilson, come get me.

Oh, and the call back # is 646-465-7676.

Got these same calls today all day on my cell. Not sure where they got my information, a little worried they have so much personal info. Called my sister-in-law too, said that an officer would be knocking on her door. The call came from Officer Gene Parker and when I told him my husband worked for the FBI and he called, they called him a M----F---- and hung up. Total scam.... never had a payday loan and have no outstanding debt (that I know of...). Very threatening messages and very obnoxious! Can hardly understand what the guy is talking about. I will file a formal complaint.

My wife is getting the same crap from an Officer John Matthew, of the BCI in Kelseyville, CA from 7072784083. He wont give me any info, but he claims that my wife is in very serious trouble. So when I called my wife to inform her about what's going on, we called the number back it ranged for a while and then a message came up and the person that you are trying to reach is not available and then beeped like an answering machine. OOOHHH he also gave me an extension# 898 and that wasn't a working extension because it never asked for an extension. So like any legit business that I called before, where is the company's message center or voicemail. It's a bunch of crap. That dude Officer John Matthew called my house like five times striaght from 10:43 to 11:51, oh yea he has a very heavy indian accent, it was kind of hard to understand him. So I got online to look this info up like I do anytime I feel a scam and I see this. Thank everyone of ya'll for your comments. We know how to handle him or who ever the next time they call, which I know that they are going to call again.

My wife has been getting nonstop calls at her work and now at my house.  We called the police and they said they deal with this from this guy all the time and there is nothing they can do.  I guess he has been threatening to kill people.  I told him to meet me someplace but of course he he just sat there mouthing off.  What a tool

The same Michael Black called me and I thought, at first, it might be real. But then the more I thought about it the more I realized that a true "crime bureau" would not use the phrase "you will get in big trouble" and would be willing to settle a possible felony case for $700.00. When I told him the debt was settled he got nasty with me and I tyold him I wanted it all in writing. That's when he refused and I told him I was contacting a lawyer, who happens to be a friend and practices criminal defense. We'll see if he keeps calling.
