I received a call tonight at 9:00pm and did not answer. They let my answering  machine go through the greeting and then hung up without leaving a message. I then found the information on the company on this site and called the president of the company. When a woman anwered I asked for Wayne and she asked me who was calling. I told her that I just received a call from CMS and she called him to the phone and told him what I told her and that I would not give her any information, but I knew that they had caller ID when I heard her tell him my husband's initial and last name. When I did get to talking to Wayne I told him that I wnat him to take me off of their list, and that I thought since I was on the do not call list that they should not be calling me. He said that they are calling on behave of other companies and that they are exempt from going by that list. He said he would put me on their "DO NOT CALL" list. I warned him that if I get another call from his company I was going to call the police and that I knew he had caller ID, so I was not giving him any other information. Heres hoping for his sake that he puts me on their list, because as far as I am concerned, if they keep calling here, it is harrassment. Believe me I am going to keep track if any more calls come from this number.

Being on the National Do Not Call List doesn't help with these a$$holes. Dirty scumbags.

When will telemarketers realize I will never, ever in a million years buy what they're selling. I don't care if you're offering me a million dollars for 1 dollar, stop f***king calling me.

Same thing calls when I answer nothing and than in another 5 mins calls right back.

If you've told them to take you off their list, and you're still getting calls after the 30 days or whatever it is that they tell you to wait,  go here: http://www.priv.gc.ca/contactUs/index_e.cfm#concerns. I've worked in call centres and it is illegal for them to not remove you from their list and their company can get huge fines. However, YOU MUST WAIT THE TIME PERIOD THEY TELL YOU!

Most of the call lists are developed in advance. If you answer the call, tell them to stop calling you and also tell them you are not interested in their current promotion. If you don't answer they assume you're still a possible sale. This applies to any telemarketers or market research surveys (those are also excluded from the do not call list.). If you do nothing, they will not stop calling.

As for the silence...most automatic dialers take time to kick in, they're calling multiple numbers at a time. You have to wait a few seconds for someone to come on the line.
