Many, many calls from this number.  All times of day and night.  Pleased to have found your site and the identity of the pests who call incessantly.

I don't know whom this person is; save it in my caller ID.  I received the call 09:07am, 12/07/07.

I made the mistake last year of answering one of these calls from the FOP; big mistake! After making a contribution, I got calls repeatedly from the same guys in the following weeks and when I did answer one of the calls back and I informed the caller that I had just contributed the week before, he pretended that the contribution I made hadn't been recorded yet. I make a point of not answering any unlisted numbers and that was a lesson for me last year. I now am getting calls from the 540 number as well as a 757 number and I know it is the same guys; they call within a half hour of each other. I will never, never contribute to the FOP again.

Just got a call from this annoying number. I do not answer calls that show up...unknown or out of area.!!! Who is this person????

These people are relentless.  They do not take no for an answer.  I told the guy that I was not interested.  He had the nerve to inform me that he couldn't believe that I was not interested in helping police families and stated that he would put me down for a small donation.  I informed him that he could put me down for whatever he liked and good luck on collecting it. The nerve of this so called organization!! Also, if this is a legitimate organization, why does their phone number show up on my Caller ID as Unknown??

STOP THE ANNOYING CALLS

This number has been calling my house 2-3 times a day for the past two weeks.  When I answer the phone I tell them I don't want to donate and please don't call back.  Recently I talked to a man and asked him how much of my donation would actually be given to the Fraternal Order of Police; he would not tell me and asked to speak to my husband.  After reading comments online I called the Virginia Fraternal Order of Police and a very nice lady took my phone number (not my name) and said she would have us removed from the call list.  She said they do use outside fundraising organizations but that they often don't follow the rules.  She was quite sorry and I think this should solve the problem.  The phone number to call for the VAFOP is 1-800-367-0317.  Hope that helps!

WHO IS THIS

I made the mistake of making a contribution last year and now I get calls constantly from them. Just a few weeks ago I made the mistake and answered my phone and decided I would be nice and make a constribution. Everyday since then I have been getting calls wanting more money! Can you say GREEDY!

I am getting calls from this number almost daily and there is no one on the line, although I will not answer it. I have been on the do not call list for years. This is become a harrasment and I would like it to stop.

Just got a call 2/18 at 1:27pm, left no message.

We have received MANY calls from this so-called "local number".  Not even our area code.  Sometimes someone is there asking for money for different charities and sometimes they hang up.  I did answer the phone the second time they called this evening.  I was asked for a donation to AMVETS.  I told him that I already give to many charities, some through CFC at work and others directly.  His very IGNORANT and sarcastic reply was, "Great American".  If I could have reached through the phone and slapped him I would have.

Call me paranoid, but 3 separate times I received a call from this number , seconds after speaking to someone that has a phone that is likely being Tapped, his son was recently BUSTED for A Large Amount of cocaine!!

My caller ID reported the call as a "local call", 318 is not local to my area. On one of the three events a person said they were collecting money for the F.O.P. The other two calls hung up without saying anything.

These 3 recent events seem to be more than coincidence. I think they could be data mining, or confirming my phone number and or who I am. I am on the National Do Not Call List. The Patriot Act is being used for more than tracking terrorists.

I have nothing to hide or fear. I don't think my friend does either. His son broke the law ... not us. Again I have nothing to hide but I fear we all need to protect all of our rights ....even from the Authorities that insist all is fair in War.
