I also received a call from that number.  They did not leave a message and I am also on the Do Not Call list.

This company has been calling here now for over a month.  Had no idea how many times they were going to p@$$ me off or I would have blocked their number long ago.  When they call I ask them to take me off of their calling list, and they very politely tell you they will but it can only be for the one particular charity they were representating at the day and time they spoke with you.  In other words, they WILL call the next day at an unkonwn time, more than likely when you are asleep or are in the middle of something very important, and will claim to be representing a DIFFERENT organization than the one before.
I have called this # back and left messages after they call and don't say anything, asking, begging them not to call me again!  Today, when they I called I got the man's name (Rico "Rogers" or "Richards" or something).  All  I have to say to Rico is, man, get a respectable job... like construction, firefghting, policeman, or any other profession (other than harrassing people).  When I asked him the name of his company, he recited (which I'm sure he has been asked many times before and knows what to say).  Anyway, he stated the name of his company is "Fundraising Information Center" which I'm sure is not listed in the phone book, on whitepages.com or any other publication or internet information site.  I'd like to know the REAL name of their company so I file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Sure, charities are exempt from the Government's DO NOT CALL list, but they are not actually a charity themselves.  The way I understand it, they are a COMPANY (probably for-profit and not a not-for-profit) who gets PAID by many other charites to do their dirty work.  In my opinion, it is not only the diritest job there is, but the most frustrating and annyoing for their "customers" who just happen to be in their homes, minding their own business, and whose lives are being constantly interrupted (in such a polite way), by intruders (home invasion experts).  I'm just tired of it, and it has to stop.  Someone tell me if there is anything else I can do besides block their number, because chances are they have many different phone numbers.

FOP this must stop

They call constantly.  Never leave a message. I wondered who was calling all of the time.  They call at 10:00 a.m., around 2 p.m., and as late as 8:55 p.m.
My son said they've been calling for months.
Wonder when they will stop calling.

When you call back, you get a message from a fundraising center.....

This number just called while I was bottle-feeding a baby.  The usual: no message left, etc.  I wonder if this is the "Police Association of Virginia"?  They call a lot and are quite rude and pushy.  Last year, I spoke to Fairfax County Police, and they said (direct quote): "Never heard of 'em."  There are legit police- and police-family support groups out there, so look them up if you'd like to help.

Getting calls from these folks almost daily and always goes to my voice mail and no one leaves a message.  This is rediculous!  Worst part is it comes up as "Local Call" which is rediculous because I'm in Georgia!

Calls received from this number in Stafford VA virtually every workday.

Keep getting calls from this number. Long distance code, but comes up as a local call.  Never leaves message.

This is neither a charity, nor a political organization. Nor are these calls computer generated. To further muddy the waters, call recipient comments are oftentimes shills, to lend a semblance of legitimacy to the caller, thus allaying expedient allegations of serious wrongdoing.

This has been going on for weeks now!
I filed a complaint with the National "Do-Not-Call"-Registry.
It is just plain annoying. Does anybody have an idea on how to stop this?
I called Verizon but they told me they cannot block the number :(

Just called me, left no message

Has called numerous times but I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number. Today I did answer. I didn't understand the name of the organization he was calling from, but when I asked him to take me off their call list, he emphatically said, "Now why would you want me to do such a thing?" I said, "Just do it." and hung up. That's the first time anyone has ever given me any flack about my asking them to remove my name.

I have been on the do not call list for over a year but there are several numbers that keep getting thru.  They call during the day while I am at work and up until 9:20 p.m.  How do I stop them?

The caller ID said "Local Call". I picked it up before the out of state number displayed.  

Telemarketer spoke claiming to be from natioanl Veteran's Charity.

I saw this number on my caller ID last week...
