got a call from this number but no one responded when I picked up.

Got a call from them saying they were Window's technical support and my computer had been compromised. Definitely a scam, be alert!

100% a spam message. area code 547 apparently is not a thing.

"hello" followed by hangup.

Same as Rachel, said they were Window's technical support and my computer had been compromised. When pressed for details got very confused. Judging by the accent, they are from India or thereabout. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from Window's technical  support.
My computer and my phone are registered under my Company and I am using a Company license under their contacts. It is definitely a scam. I just do not know where to report them to...

scammers trying to sell software, and hold your computer hostage. Pretended to be calling from Microsoft.

Installed an app to reveal blocked calls because about 10 times a day an unknown caller phones me and its the same every time. Someone stops talking as soon as I answer and then silence...This is the number that was unmasked...(547) 854-4512
I call it back and it says an incorrect message....

Indian accent claimed he worked for Microsoft and needed access to the computer

I received a call claiming to be from Windows Technical Support and that they are receiving several error messages from my computer which meant my computer was being hacked. She said she would help me delete all these messages and wanted me to access my computer. I requested for a call back as I did not have my computer accessible. I googled and realized this is a scam.

I just got the same thing and he said he knew who was doing this, I told him great give me info and I will take care of it because I track people for a living. He ask again what I did for a living. Told him I track people for a living.......he hung up...that was funny.....

I get a call from this number at least once a day. It was a man with an Indian accent saying 'hi, my name is Kevin. I'm calling on behalf of windows for your computer'. I replied saying 'okay'. He repeated himself saying the exact same thing. I said 'okay' again. He then swore in Hindi and said 'she's gonna make me repeat it again' and then hung up. I know he swore and understood his last sentence because I speak the language.

I just want to says thanks to all of you that take these calls to find out what these low life people are up to and report it on this site. You save me the hassle of doing so and I can block them right away. I've had my cell number for over 20 years and I get these spoofed numbers and scam callers practically every day and some days, several times a day. I just wish there was a button I could push and fry their system ... but that would present it own set of problems. Just glad we have these sites to vent!

Just got a call from this guy, played his game for a few minutes. Definitely a scam. He didn't like my politically incorrect remarks. LOL LOL

They keep calling me at night!  Whoever they are, these people have no decency.  By the way, for those of you who don't know, "547" is an unassigned area code.

I'm in Ontario Canada, this number has called me several times despite me not answering. Today I answered & it sounded like a call centre background noise. When I said hello, it went silent & call disconnected.

There is a new scam/hack thing going on.

I received a phone call from a woman from the Middle East telling me that she was calling from Windows technical support also; and that she was notified of a virus that was found and wanted to walk me through the steps of getting rid of the virus.

I haven't used my laptop since June 2015; so I already knew it was bull.

I told her that, in which she responded, well do you have a Mac?

I told her it doesn't matter what I have because if she was calling for the "Windows" computer that told her there was a virus, even tho it has NOTHING on it, and is never used; how would a MAC provide her with the info she needed If it's system isn't Windows. she hang up on me.

IF YOU GET A CALL LIKE THIS, do NOT provide them with any information.
Not the computers IMEI or manufacturing number or anything.

They WILL hack into your computer and pull the passwords and logins to your private accounts by remote access; leaving you vulnerable for identity theft.

ITS THE HOLIDAY SEASON - people do grimey things to take away from others.

same thing today.  called by "windows Tech support" with message that my laptop is compromised.  i asked which one? he said yours.  I said which one of mine as a i have a few.  couldn't answer.  then i told him i have macs and don't run windows to which he responded it didn't matter.  i hung up
