Same call from a lady saying my computer got hacked. I said my IT Department will take care of it and she hung up.

Man with Indian accent calling from Windows about my computer being hacked. Noisy background. I could barely understand his accent or instructions. I thought it was pretty sketchy that Windows would be calling me so I said I was busy and told him to call back later.  He was silent and didn't answer me back right away so I said goodbye and hung up without waiting for an answer.

This company continues to call me claiming to represent 'Windows' reporting a 'problem with your computer' when I don't own a computer that uses Windows. SCAM! They are harassing me!

Got a call from this number (Steve from Windows tech support) telling me someone was trying to hack my computer and I had to delete some files..etc.  I said I don't use Windows and he said they also look after Mac.  I asked for the number of his supervisor which he said was 1-800-299-4065 but he "transferred" me to him... same story.  I said I would call Apple Care about it.  Of course it's a scam.

Just got a call from that number could hardly understand him, he had a very strong accent.... I just know this is a damn scam!

I finally got one of these just now.  Luckily, I've seen a lot of entries in 800Notes, that I didn't give them time to scam me-not to mention I'm a CIO of a technical company dealing with Microsoft a lot.  When I answered, the lady in a very thick accent (either Indian or Asian) said, "Hi this is Windows Technical Department".   I immediately said, "No you're not sorry." and hung up.

In hindsight, I should have left them on the phone longer......

Scam trying to get access to your computer. Claim they're from Windows Technical Support (not even Microsoft? Haha) Sounds like an Indian accent, do not pick up

called me and asked me about notifications being sent to them from my computer. cant understand them, they dont speak english, line is static.

A girl and a guy with Indian/Pakistani accents called and tried to get me to give them access to my computer.  Definitely a scam.  I messed with them for a while and had fun while doing it.  When I quit cooperating, the male threatened to lock all my files in 5 minutes if I didn't cooperate.

Got a call today from this number. Phone said it was from USA, and I answered. Indian man said he was from Windows, and that my computer was being accessed. I asked which computer several times before he said my home computer. I told him I did not have a computer at home and hung up. Vile filth!

Call came in as "invalid number" at 547-854-4512.  I did not answer it because most of these types of calls are hoaxes.  I plugged the number into Google and discovered all the responses others have given.  While I do not know if this was a "windows computer tech", I have in the past received calls from "windows computer" people telling me I have some sort of technical issue they're trying to correct for me.  Hoax!  They always use a difference number.  Have been getting these calls for in excess of 10 years.

Scam do not provide any information and hang up 5478544512. Same as described below an Indian caller, Kelsie claiming to be calling regarding Windows operating system.

Call from Peter, he delayed in answering and then he was having a personal conversation as well, he is probably from Mumbai but a definite boiler room operation and he referenced Windows technical Department and there was a live issue with my computer.  I indicated that I had a "live issue" with my dog barking.  Once he was off subject, he got upset and proceded to repeat "Fxxx You" many times not wanting others in his immediate area to hear him.  He eventually hung up.  Scam!

Just got a call from this number.The guy said he's from Windows Tech Support,saying the same story as what he told to the people in this page.He hanged up on me because I was asking lots of details from him and the company he's representing.I guess he felt he's not succeeding with his plan.
Also,I wonder how he got the name on my computer?Any idea?

Call from someone purporting to be a Windows tech and needed to fix the computer.  Told him number was reported.  He hung up.

Ahh! Same thing happened to me yesterday! I fell for it and gave them
Access to my computer...what should I do? I realized halfway through the conversation that they wanted me to buy software amd this was a scam but I did give them Access 😩
