Report a phone call from 562-289-8136 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Christopher GerdesMine appears to have been from digitcom
- Caller: DigitCom
- DRWCalled the 800 number and demanded that my cell phone be removed from their calling list. They have caller ID and didn't even ask my number - just said the number you want removed is the one you're calling from? I told them that I work at an inbound/outbound call center (which I do) and told them I'm listed on the do no call list and to NEVER call me again. The guy was very rude and said, "I heard you the first time - you don't need to repeat yourself." They are a boiler room, a pit, snakes, rude. There is no excuse for this behavior and attitude when you speak with them. A legitimate call center wouldn't behave in this manner. They would immediately apologize, get your name off the list PRONTO, and apologize for the intrusion.
Complain to the FCC because companies really do get fined. - anonymousSince these scam artists read these pages I decided to omit my name. I do not wish to give them the glory for poor behavior, but I can tell you for certain, I made progress. I chose to answer the call immediately one time, after hearing this go on and on for months costing me cell phone minutes AND bothering me at work. (Hmmmm, an insider probably works for AT&T or Verizon? with a bone to pick?) Personifying myself as a customer and with a false sense of urgency to speak with them, mangaged to engage in a short conversation, just long enough to quickly ask his name- he said frantically, "Jason", and quickly hung up, quicker than a bat outta hell. Naughty boy. He knew he was doing wrong.

- JasonI've had enough from those guys. They are too bad.
Since FCC did nothing to them, let's use spam to kill spam.
Go to some spam website, use this phone number as contact information to sign up. Use Jason as your name :).
The best way is to send a spam email(prize-winning, money-sharing, gift certificate-giving...) to all over the world, ask people to call (562) 289-8136 to collect money. But I guess it's illegal. I'm not encouraging you to do that.
(562) 289-8136 is a land line based in Long Beach, CA - Vancouver, WAIf this # call you, just answer the call and scream as loud as you can into the phone. A fog horn or whistle works well too. =)
- Olympia, WAAlright, so I called DigitCom and they claim not to be affiliated with the numbers, but forwarded me to another company's number,
1-800-461-6675.
I called that number and the man who answered was lame. I told him I was calling to get off the calling list of a scam warranty company and his reaction was. "Well, I don't know that its a scam..." My reply was, "Well they're calling my unlisted cell phone number...which is illegal. I would call that a scam." His odd defensive attitude towards the scammers made me nervous so I asked if he represented the company making the calls or if he represented the phone company supplying their service. He NEVER GAVE ME A CLEAR ANSWER! He said he could get me off their list, but he was so shady that I didn't want to hand my number over to him.
Anyway, if nothing else, I've obtained a number where everyone can voice their frustrations...
1-800-461-6675 - SLI've been getting calls for the "Second Warning" from this number, too. Its a scam, they just call every cell phone number and hope that one or two people will give them their credit card info. My car warranty is still good.
- politepersonabout twice a week i get in the 303-area the same stupid call: "i'll call before we close the file ... press 1 to speak with our representative now about your vehicle"; it is by the same voice. so far i noted also the following scam-numbers: 1-978-570-2395, 603-214-3589, 281-520-3761, ..

- AmyI used to get calls from this number, until I called back, and recieved a recording saying that I had been "successfully removed from their prefered calling list". Instead of removing me though, I started getting the same calls from a different number. I called them back, and got the same recording, That I had been "successfully removed blah blah blah". Once again, same calls, different number. I called again, and the same thing happened. I am now on the 4th number, and am about to explode. I dont drive, I dont have a car, and really want these calls to stop. Has anyone had any luck getting these guys to go away?

978-570-2225 - AmyI just called 800-461-6675, and got a recording! When the recording was about to give me the number for a do not call list, the message cut off. How convenient for them.
- emHere are some things that I found out.Digitcom is a company based in Cali, but uses numbers from new Jersey, washington, and texas as well. The only way I have found to get them to stop calling, is by either calling 888-382-1222, or going to donotcall.gov. I know that some do not call lists get hacked into, but so far I have had Nothing, and it is a nice relief.
If you call the 888 number, be sure to call from the number you want to have protected. The law requires all telemarketing companies to check into this data base, and remove all registered numbers every 31 days. It might take a week or 2 for the calls to stop, but they do. - TackleBoxHi guys, I'm trying to consolidate all the threads against this company to try to help the FTC see the need to bust them. They are calling from a bunch of numbers which may all be fake or not.

978-570-2225 - jssweatif you call back the # 5622898136, it is an automated voice, telling you, you have been removed from their call list. I'm still unsure as too what they want, or are calling for.
- JSI filed a complaint with the FCC. They finally stopped calling. It took me just as long to file a complaint with them as I'm sure it took most of you to post on these forums. Do not let these people harass you. Contact the FCC ASAP.

- Jen, CTIt's funny, i've talked to one of my co-workers who has gotten this phone call too with a voicemail saying that we shouldnt be driving without a warrantee or some crap....the funny thing is, my co-worker doesn't even have her license!! haha! Same thing happened to her friend, she doesnt have her license either!
- Unspecified Make and ModelI kept receiving calls on my cell phone that the warranty on my vehicle is about to expire. I kept ignoring it until I decided to bring to the attention of whoever is calling me to get off the list. When I spoke with a human (think what you may), I asked how did they get my number. The other end hung up on me. Decided to return the call. The message "...this number is disconnected or is no longer in service..." was on the other end of the line. I decided to call the organization that I thought was the leak. The guy I spoke with said he's been getting lots of calls like that. At least my instincts were right on. If there is one thing that the cell phone carriers and makers got right, it would be caller-id. After all, we have a right to confront these entities when we have no recourse to be removed from the list even if it leads to dead ends.
Though there was a number to press during the announcement to get off the list. Didn't get a chance to try it since I was more interested in confronting someone, anyone.
By the way, my vehicle has no warranty. If it had a warranty, they would have been calling the correct phone number listed, not my cell. - CetchI got about a dozen calls from this number spread out over about 3 weeks. Some calls were in the afternoon, some where in the middle of the night i.e. 3am. I called the number back and asked the name of the person on the other end and the company, they just hung up on me. I did a reverse look up and the number came back to a cell phone
- AvengerThe auto warranty sewage is spewing from a pipe at 100 Mall Parkway Wentzville Missouri. It is called " National Auto Warranty Services " AKA

- AaronHello, I want to share a little light on the subject... you ALL have to understand that copanies like GAWARRANTY are a legitimate company. They may not use the best MARKETING for their business growth but none the less they are not a scam. For starters they have indeed honored my policy when my vehicle needed repairs. I came across this website and commenting now because I am looking for them again to renew my soon to expire warranty. If you want to blame someone blame your car dealer or the Internet page you submitted your phone number to because in the background they are the ones selling your information to be solicited by other copanies offering goods and services.
