I was just called too.... 9:45am 10/15/08 at work. I didn't answer because the number looked weird. They did leave a message. It's some credit company saying that you are preapproved for some loan and to call "Kathy" at 1-800-706-6208 before 10pm tonight and to make sure you have all your bills handy.

got a call at 9:08, didn't answer, no message left.

Haymarket, VA, Prince William county

This is the same company (The Debt School) that also calls from 206-629-8606 (which is in the Redmond Beach area of the state of Washington).  They direct you to return the call to their boiler room call center at 1-800-706-6208 in Weston Florida where the calls are received.  For more info see my posts under the number 1-800-706-6208.

I believe the calls actually originate outside of the US and are just routed through servers at various locations throughout the US.  The address in Virginia where 571-261-0045 is supposed to be located comes up with 6730 Bleight Drive in Haymarket Virgina which is adjacent to Cook Septic Systems. According to tax maps 6730 Bleight Drive is supposed to be a vacant lot.

Just received a call from this number on my cell and did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  I then googled the number and saw this thread.  Message left was a recoding from "Kathy" about debt consolidation and some type of pre-approval.  I deleted immediately.  This is spam phone calls. What a waste - on minutes for answering and checking messages of spam calls.

got  a call from this no at 8.32 or soemthin....it was a blank call.

It's not always a scam dorks, it's could be an automated console looking to connect to another PC - it doesn't hear 'PC talk' so it's dissconnects.

Got a call this morning (10/22/08) at 9:28am on my cell.  I let it go to VM since I didn't recognize the number, but there was no message when I checked later.  After reading these posts now I know why!

Just received this call at 9:24 a.m.

Prerecorded message 'For 1.5% interest rates. This is not a new loan.  Non profit company. 1-800-706-6208.  My name is Kathy and I'll be there until 10pm.

This number is from Finatural Freedom.  It is a debt consolidation company. They stated that they are not loan officers but can consolidate your credit card bills with an intrest rate of just 1.5%......I don't buy it!!!!

SCAM!!!! they left a voicemail saying they sent a letter stating i was approved for a 1.5% interest rate loan. i deleted the message before i heard anything else.

don't bother calling these people back, it's not a real call.
