They continually call our number all the time.  When I tell them my husband is unavailable they say they will call back.  When I ask in reference to what they say "it's about a donation he recently made" and I say we are done with donating to anyone and take us off your list.  Response, "only your husband can tell us that".  I am simply flabbergasted.  Why can't something be done collectively to stop this harassment?  The other number I get calls from all the time is 248.429.4200 with the same message and attitude.  We only donate to specific causes not some phony place in Michigan.  Arrrgh.

We receive calls from this number almost every day.  When the answering machine picks up, as we never answer phone calls with numbers we don't recognize, thre is a horribly annoying electronic beeping that goes on and on and on until either we answer or the space on the answering machine is used up.

This number has been making harassing phone calls for months, Sunday - Sunday. I cannot get them to stop.

the phone co. is ultimately responsible for this harassment....harass them by calling 20 times a day to complain about the people they enable

Similar to the messages above - simply a con-man and women (and sounded high on something!!).

Got a call from this number... seeing how we're on DO NOT CALL list and I didn't recognize it I picked up and hung up right away.   They called last week as well and were told to quit calling.  They were trying to raise funds for children's and wanted me to donate.... I told them someone in my family was fighting cancer and asked if they were going to raise funds for us... she was dumbfounded.   Then told them we are on DNC list and to quit calling.  
We donate locally only if ever... never over the phone.

Got another call at 8:51 pm from this number.   They called less than an hour earlier.   She asked if she could please speak to....(husband) .  Told her NO AND WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST SO TAKE US OFF YOUR LIST.   Dead silence.... I said GOODBYE and hung up.  
Logging these calls now to report to the do not call list.  I can block the number... and will but want to log my complaint first.

If the Fed were serious about the do not call list or the greater crime of organized crime that this represents, THEY would provide a CC # attached to a sting operation to snag these creeps.  I get the same calls as well ....and I live in Venice Italy (home phone forwarded by SKYPE).

Got a call from this number today and the person on the other end was extremely rude and kept asking for money. Was also asking personal questions. They said they represented disabled veterans.

Call from this number - the lady was extremely rude.  They have called numerous times and I have asked numerous times to be put on the no call list.  She hung up on me!

My caller ID read "MICHIGAN CALL".  I did not answer the call since the same caller ID showed up from (248)-429-4200 previously and I had read that this was a scam.  I have blocked both numbers on my phone, but I'm betting that they have many more numbers.  I never answer a call if I don't recognize the calling party.  I figure if the call is legitimate, they will leave a message.  I'm so sick of these people calling daily!

This jerk has called my house almost every day, when I answer no one say anything. Today I got the phone and this man was the biggest ass, wanted to know my name I said you do not come up on my caller ID except for Michigan call, he told me there is nothing I can do about it. Proceeded to ask my name in which I told him I would not give it to him and he became very snotty, telling me is this your name because I don't want to be talking to your neighbor. I told him I have a do not call (he would not tell me what he wanted or who he was) he said he didn't care. I hung up but he will call tomorrow, I just called the do not call .gov and filed a complaint, If you get a call like this report them.

They call often...either collecting for "Childrens' Leukemia" or it just disconnects.

I said 'Yeah?' Well, my son and a whole lot of other relatives really are cops in local, state, and federal agencies so they better not call again. Felt so-o-o good to do that and it's even true! These are some of the lowest of the low. I'm embarrassed they're calling from my state.

Received a call from this number tonight. Caller ID showed "MICHIGAN CALL". Used my answering machine to screen the call, no message left. I don't answer these unknown calls in any form or fashion, as their system will log if they get a live answer. Trying to "annoy" them or "give them a piece of your mind" is a good way to have them put you on the "call more often" list.

Best approach in my opinion is to let the answering machine screen the call, and never show up on their radar as answering in person. Sooner or later your number gets ignored, as it doesn't return a live "victim" to whatever their scam is.

There is no one there when you answer these calls, because they are using an automatic dialer, and talking to the first line that answers with a live person. Use your caller ID and answering machine to screen these calls, and never answer in person.
