28.00 has been taken from me 60044 vodaphone say they can do nothing

60044 text you then charge you  4.50 every tie I rang vodaphone they said text stop to that nuber but I tried it will not allow me to send

what can we do.?

Got on to the ombudsman , what a waste of effort , somebody needs to do something about this with it happening to so many people either the police or the press to look at it as this is fraud !!

vodaphone have charged me 4x9.00 for calls from this number. I've no idea who they are or what it's for and Vodaphone didn't tell me they could be blocked first time so I got charged again at their fault.  They won't refund say you have to contact companies direct!! really cross

I have received my Mobile telephone account and been charged for twice for Messages to/from 60044 - (1 on 28th Oct 2015 and 1 on 5th November 2015). I do not know who they are and to my knowledge have nothad any communication to that number

This number keeps texting me and has made me go over my phone contract twice now!! I've been charged £50 over from this number😡I would like to know why this number keeps texting me?!

1. You will receive 3 txts. Look at the consumer contract they send you on first one. It explains that you have to validate the contract by sending back an answer to the quiz. Once you do this (and only when you do this ) YOU have then validated the contract and they can legally charge you! Only after doing this action can you send STOP to the number which is charged at your local sms rate. So STOP will not work unless you have texted back an answer to their multi choice questions.

So if you haven't validated this text with an answer to competition then don't and ignore.
If you have validated text STOP immmediately. According to their contract this is not a premium text the cost just normal.

Remember not to take my advice but do this research independently (never trust numbers, links etc always go to websites through google NOT links given to you) and this will stop you being extra scammed.

I accidentaly entered a compettition of some sort and it asks me to pay £4.50 a week how do i stop it amyone please help i have i phone 4 thanks

Also i am pay as you go so if i top up withit take all of the money iuse to top up?

Really annoyed, my daughter has been getting these texts for the last 2 months  her bill has gone up by £18.00 November and £22.50 December, how do I stop these from being charged??  .

These parasites have stolen £90 from me since september. Even though I blocked there fing messages they still managed to take £4.50 a week from my phone contract. i spoke to there customer services haha and got it stopped but they will not refund me the money. contacted phonepayplus and asked them to look into it. not holding out much hope. Furious.

I too have been scammed by 60044 - if you text stop to this number you should receive reply saying you have been removed from list and will not be sent any more text messages - we will see - what he this space

I am receiving calls/texts from 60044. I didn't ask for this. I don't want it. Please stop it or tell me how to.

If - on Facebook - you have ever typed-in your mobile number to enter a 'prize draw' or get a 'free' Tesco/Asda etc. voucher worth £100' then you are likely to get scammed by these 60044 outbound SMS campaigns. You are charged every week for the chance to win. Reply with STOP.

just been scammed by SB7 mobile they use 60044 to steal money from you, I have lost £22.50 so far. Rang Vodafone Customer Service, might as well talk to the man on the moon, will be leaving them soon and going to Tesco. Then contacted PayphonePlus, who said yes we checked them a few years ago and they were not scamming. They did not tell me that in 2010 SB7 mobile were fined and reprimanded for scamming in this manner by PayphonePlus. Its obvious they are back to their bad old ways

I have been charged £4.50 on 2 occasions for text messages received from text number 60044. Apparently, the company is sbmobile.com Their address is 3A Woburn Street, Ampthill, Bedford MK45 2HP. How can I stop this?
