Hi every one,  i just recieved an text message, from a number   +60122457622    BRONO ROSS


It read:
Hi is your car still for sale, im very intersted, plz email me back on bronoross@gmail.com emaiL only coz dis number is my home phone. :)


I thought it was strange because the number was international and i have heard of these scammers before, so i googled and i ended up here with many others with the same messages.

I have ignored the text, but what should i do ? Report it to the police? any ideas... as i know that these scammers have scammed many peoples hard earned money,  i just dont want it to happen agian.

Im also very frustrated as the text came at midnight! that was another reason i was a bit weary.

Same verbage as above. the enquiry sms was from +60122859679. Supposed email from Paypal indicating the the sum of car plus shipping had been depositied into my account and I was to refund shipping by way of Western Union (A$4500) to Vinoth Nagenderen, Kuala Lumpur 53000 Malaysia.No money in my Paypal account and none will be sent to Mr. Nagenderen. Smelly aspects about every communication. On this one the prospective customer was Lena Willis. BEWARE.There is no shortage of arch-[***] out there

He wrote" Hi, Is ur vehicale on carslaes still 4 sale?  For easy communicatn, kindly reply 2 my office email only at; bronoross@gmail.com as dis is my home fone.  Cheers Ross"

He then emailed me and his sign off then became Brono.

i've been through the same crap from these people.
wish i new how to send them a virus through the email address they used.
passed it onto pay pal as i think it effects thier bussiness as well.
hopefully they can do something to the pr##ks for waisting everyone's time.

Hi there,
Have just gone through the same rubbish as everyone else, though not selling a car but a boat.
It is important to note that the name and email used was different to all others mentioned.
One Jenny Bleeker wanted to buy our boat, shipping fees were of $4500.
Always pays to google the names involved

I have just gone thru the same situation. I had my husband's motorbike on trademe (new zealand equivalent to ebay in the states). Got a sms from jenny bleeker +1361265880 asking if the bike was still for sale and that she wanted to buy it right now, she said not to call her back on mobile number as she is travelling around malaysia and couldn't guarantee that she would get the message. She said to e-mail her on jnbleeker@aol.com. When \i asked for an international bank cheque she said she wouldn't be anywhere near her bank for several weeks so could she pay me via paypal. As the person above said she wanted freight payment to go to Mr.Nagenderen in Kuala Lumpa. I have since sent an e-mail declining offer on the bike.

Had a text message from exactly the same number today asking for my boat.  They are watching Trademe.co.nz and trying to scam people here.

i just got the same message jnbleeker sent a txt saying they wanted to buy my motorbike off trademe and they want it asap 1361265880 was the number wat a f*#khead and the txt was at 1.32am

this guys whanted to buy my bike on trade me ,the phone no 1361265880 ,e mail jnbleeker , TOTAL SCAM ,the ring at 11 pm ,bunch of samers from malay ,i guess muslems ,ha ha

Ezactly the same as you last night just forgot to put rest of email adddress in the just jnbleeker.  Nothing else. I texted back that I had 3 bikes for sale and which one.  Haven't heard anything back thank goodness

had a bike on trademe nz got a e-mail from lathamlisa@hotmail .co.nz saying wanting to buy it outright I ignored it and a couple of weeks later got exactly the same e-mail from jnbleeker@aol.com saying the same thing and that they wanted to send it to china. I was suspicious and luckily googled thier adress.

Same Same Same. Must have too much time on there hands.Even down to the motorbike on trademe part.
Emailed them back and told them to F... off

Same sh*t about my sons bike on trade me from jenny bleeker. The [***] were going to ship it to malaysia.

What can we do

Same thing is happening to me, but I have decided to play a game with these buggers.  I have created a false Gmail account with a false name and claimed that my PayPal has been closed down due to some issue or the other.  I am pushing quite hard, have asked for a photo and even mentioned that I have a considerable sum of money that I need to launder via a foreign bank account.  Waiting for a response

We have just had the same thing. We have a QUAD Bike listed on trademe.
Text message late at night from the same number asking that we email jnbleeker@aol.com
Stating that needs the bike urgently.
I have just returned the email and then thought to google her name. AM GLAD THAT I DID!
Will be interesting to see what email we get in return.

Same goes. Got sms the other night & thought it was too true. Thank God for Google.
