I had missed call two times phone call at 9:30 pm

Asked if I'd called about my D.L. Gave no name or corporate affiliation I.D.

My kid dialed 119 cuz she wanted to talk to her friend. A man said he was a police officer called me back and it was this number.

It is a legit police phone number. They are "non emergency" emergency responders.

They claimed to police. They are hassling me with fake phone calls

Received a call from 604 215 4934 claiming he is the RCMP. He said that he received a call from my number and wanted to check if I am ok. I asked him when he received a call from my number and he said three minutes ago. I told him this is not possible as I was on LinkedIn. He said as long as I am fine everything is ok and he hung up. He was friendly and polite. I checked my phone but did not see a record of me dialing 911.

Called twice in a row yesterday evening, and left no message.
I do not answer numbers that are not in my phone, I get SEVERAL SPAM calls per day.

So here something to wonder about: i got this call at 11pm by night. No (cell-)phone was used for hours, as i was sleeping. Definetely it was not a pocket call to 9-1-1 from my side as the phone was lying on the night table since 8pm - untouched. Unless my phone decided to call 911 all by itself in the middle of the night, i cannot see why they would call me.

It is the police phone number. I accidentally dialled 911 and this number called back. A lady claimed that she is from the police department and wanted my info. I gave her my address but refused to give her my full name and other info, cuz I thought it was a scam. The lady told me that if I don't give out my info she will send someone over to my place. Then a police officer came and asked for my info.

I definitely did not dial 911. My phone has been laying flat on a desk all day. The phone does not butt dial; it's modern phone with a proximity sensor, so it knows it is in a pocke.
I think someone with a number similar to mine called 911, they tried to call them back, and somehow misdialed my phone.

If you had called 911 and they could not get a response from you they would have sent out a patrol car to check on you.

What makes you think scam calls from this number have anything to do with the 911 system or the police?
Did you read prior posts? Maybe the ones going back to the OP in 2008?

Your guess about a scenario the police following up on a 911 call and calling you by mistake is ridiculous. The systems are highly automated, no cops are sitting at a desk and dialing phone numbers that are written on scraps of paper.

This number is associated with a phishing scam that uses a cover of being cops checking on a 911 call. The scam depends on reaching the gullible and obtuse. Hope you did not give them any information.

Same situation... asked me if I had a baby, kids and if I was ok... then goodbye. Not sure why or if it was legit.

Said they were police from dispatch calling about an old address. I said I don’t live there anymore they were like do you know who does? I was like nah and she let me go…. Odd.
