credit card wanting to lower my interest rate (MasterCard) ...call centre. with broken english on a LONG weekend.

They are are people who have nothing todo

I get a call from this number just about every week.  They offer to lower by interest rate on my credit card.  When I ask how they know I have a credit card or if I ask what credit card they're talking about or if I ask for the person's name or a company name, they hang up.  How can I get these calls to stop?

Urgent message from you credit card company.

Gonna fix your credit real good! Just give us your personal info and you can have a better interest rate.

got this call to with no message or no sound, thinking of some spam call and the name of the phone num is " UNKNOWN NAME" ???? just ignored it

the number - I fyou call it back - says its not in service.

I blocked it.

Asked them what credit card it was for and told them I didn't have that one, then kept asking for the one I had so hung up.

No doubt!!

Same comment as we are also on that do not call list which seems to do the exact opposite. Go figure!

WTF government can listen to your calls & track you but cant do anything about these criminals.Go vacation some more on my tax money

Keep getting these calls , 3 this week and 3 last week- Wish they would give up already! Urgent regarding Credit Card and when I select option 2 to be removed from the list it is not a valid choice,  called the number back and not in service...I am on the Do Not Call list but that is for legit calls, this is a scam. Guess I will choose option 1 next time and tell them I don't have credit cards and stop them.

It doesn't work.  I've tried it several times.  Waste of time.  Only thing we can really do in defense of these annoying calls is block them.

Something I often do when I get these annoying stupid calls is to just take the phone off the hook and set it down for like 15 minutes.  These are mostly 'recorded' calls anyway, so their systems can't dial anyone while my phone is off the hook.

I've got the solution.  Just get a referee's whistle, The minute you recognize this as a bogus call, blow as hard as you can into the phone.  They';ll never call you again.

I'm still trying to figure out the answer to that one.

Heavily accented filth phishing for credit card number.

These people spoof numbers. It isn't real and it isn't Canadian. Likely they are illegal. Obviously, illegal, people in other countries, don't care about you registering for the DNC list.
