Called me on April 2, 2014 @4.58 pm. I wasn't home to take the call and probably wouldn't have answered it if I had been. Deliberately have no voicemail or answering machine on this line.

It's been a while since I got one of those credit card scam calls. Last few times I was stupid enough to answer the phone for these guys, I just put the receiver down and walked away, and let them 'hang' for a half an hour or so.

One thing I've learned over the years is that by pressing '(whatever digit)' to have your name removed from their lists doesn't work. All you've done is confirm that your phone number is active, and you'll actually get MORE calls than you did before.

It's pretty simple how you can deal with these [***]: Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the phone number. After a few tries, if they can't get ahold of anybody, they'll take your number off their list, and you won't get called anymore.

For the past 4 weeks I got no "telemarketing" or "scammer" call me. But right after the provincial election over, calls start to came in again. All those 4 weeks I only got political robo calls form 2 major parties. At first, I just block the numbers right after I pick up the first call. But strange things happen, they begin to switch phone numbers to call me. Using the same method as the "telemarketing" or "scammer". In curiosity, I research all those political robo call numbers. The numbers that the PC party use were previous calling people for debit consolidation just a month ago. The robo call numbers use by Liberal party were calling people for air duct cleaning and Bahama Cruise before.  From those numbers, people at the forum say those call center were in India or Pakistan. I always feel skeptical about this theory, cause they never call me on Labour day, Good Friday or Victoria Day. Are those days also a statutory holiday In India and Pakistan too? Furthermore, I think there is a rule say no outside of the country help/assistance for the provincial election. So that make those call centers are located within Canada not outside.  I did contact both candidates, ask them who they hired for the robo calls. (I am not on DNCL, my number is unlisted, the only origination know my full name, address and phone number is Revenue Canada and Election Canada). So I think the call center use the voters list instead of DNCL to call us. One candidate say he did not hired anyone to call me(what a liar). The other candidate say he can not tell me, instead what he can do for me is to ask the call center to remove my number form their data bank permanently. Right after the contact, I did get less calls. Almost cutting half of the amount. I got 2 to 3 calls per week instead of everyday.
Maybe that's why CRTC never can get rid of the call center.

Received call about lowering my credit card rates and when I asked which card they said visa and I told him I did not have one he then claimed it was MasterCard and I told him I did not have one. He got upset and hung up. I called back and recording said the number could not be reached by this method?? The best thing to do with these idiots is to keep them on the line as long as possible and waste their time!

They can spoof numbers nowadays, a do not call list means nothing.
They can call you from your own number if they want!!
Don't waste your time complaining to the phone company.

Saw on the caller ID that it was a funny area code (not in my area). Quickly googled it, landed here. Found out that, of course, it's a scammer. Didn't pick it up. It's kind of sad people waste their time trying to scam people. Such low lives. Pathetic that they can't earn a wage in an honest way like most good people do.

These people are relentless and very bothersome. Very tacy sort.

Telus told me by law they can't do anything. The cops will pass the buck as well. Remember, this is Harper's Canada where the criminals have more rights than the victims.

This Number 604-430-1091 called our business. Automated message saying there is no problem with our credit card account but this act quick because this is a limited time offer.  Press 0 to talk to a representative.
I pressed 0 and after a moment spoke to a live person (man).  I asked him to remove our number from their calling list.  HE HUNG UP on me!!!!!!!!!!

I check internet found an the M. Davey with address of 7170 Hecate Place, Vancover, BC. I search further and found "Vancouver     7170 Hecate Place     Davey, Harold L     604-430-1091" on locatefamily.com and search for him an found an obit for him listing his wife as margaret. I don't know if it is actually her or not but thought I would post for those interested.

Karachi Pakistan actually....same ones who offer to clean your ducts and pretend to be Windows representatives...all an effort to get your personal info, your banking data and credit card info...

This is a BIG SCAM... I called the number back after telling him off and it said the number is NOT IN USE.....!!!!!!!!!!! Why dose our government not step in and STOP THESE [***]........???????

They are annoying ..but every time they call...it is from a new number ....so call block does not work...i sometimes play along...then tell them  off...then its a couple of months before they call back...we even get them late at night [early mornings ].Sometimes when i hang up they call right back....

The idiots are at it again, I received a call again and let it go to voicemail with no message being left. You think these clowns would get the message!

Just got a call from this no. I was on the phone . I tried call back this number yet it says you have just Dialed the no. Which isn't in use!  Very strange
