I just received a call from someone purportedly from MY credit card company. I had to hit 1 to speak to a live representative who was unable to identify my bank and said that they worked with several credit card companies. When asked, he said he was calling from British Columbia and when I told him that could not be true since I'm on the do-not-call list and he would be in violation of Canadian law by calling me, he hung up.

When I dialed the number back, I got a recording that it was no longer in service.

On no call list [***]...when is Bell Canada going to do something...NEVER.....really should cancel my home phone if we all did Bell would be up [***] creek....then maybe just maybe...NOT.........

Recorded voice said they were from my credit card company, and they were "giving me one last chance to lower my credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to a live representative, 2 to be removed from their call list." I pressed 2 and recording said this was an invalid selection and to hold to talk to a live representative.

Got the same call from 604-430-1091.  Googled the number and it comes up M. Davey at 7170 Hecate pl, Vancouver , B.C., V5S 4C4.  Should report to Bell that this person is making crank calls.  Anyways, didn't pick it up.  Have call display and most of the numbers are about duct cleaning, trips won, credit cards.  What garbage!  And Bell is useless.  They don't  care!  I am writing to my MP who happens to be Conservative.  He is always saying that they have done such a good job.  Let's see what he says about these calls!

I got a call this morning from the No. 1 614 430 1091 It said it was a credit card service if you wanted to increase your limit.
I am not interested, I pressed 2 to see who was behind that no.
I told him I am not aware of you so go away. I hung up.

I also got a call today from that same No. 1 604 430 1091 They said if you want to increase my limit. I was confused about that.
I pressed to 2 to speak to someone behind that no. When he came on I told him I don,t have an acct with you and my Mastercard was alright and I don,t know you, I hung up on him.
These calls still somehow manage to come in as often. What to do well I guess one can report it but what exactly will happen?
I guess really nothing.

I just got a call from this number. Pressed two and got an invalid selection message so I pressed 1 and ask the individual (male)  to stop calling me when he responded with "shut your [***] mouth".  Wtf.  This number calls my home on a regular basis.

Urgent call regarding credit card.  Call repeatedly and will not stop even when one talks to human.

The DNC list is useless as these people are calling from overseas an they dont care. I wish the big phone companies would just stop giving them canadian numbrs. These people are rude lying scammers

Urgent message about your credit card balance.....

They don't have Canadian numbers. It is VOIP. They use a computer to make the call, likely from Pakistan, and the computer can "say" any number they want is calling.

We've gotten a call from this number so many times, number on display along with UNKNOWN. Message was recorded, woman's voice, about lowering credit card interest rate. We're registered on DNCL but it doesn't stop these calls.

I am on the no-call list and yet still got a call from this number at 17:55 on Sept 8 /14. There is a recorded message about lowering interest on my credit cards.

Similar to the others: reduce your credit card interest rates. I pressed 1 and got a live male person. I told him that I had received this "final" offer several times now and that it was illegal to call me since I'm on the DNCL. He kept repeating his sales pitch, I kept repeating my statement. Finally he just laughed and said he'd be sure to call me tomorrow, then hung up. I called back but the number has been disconnected. I suspect it was a bogus number and the unfortunate owner got lots of angry calls. I filled out a complaint with the DNCL but don't expect it to result in anything.

I sure wish the phone companies would join in solving this problem. A big start would be to make it impossible to spoof the outgoing phone number. If only valid phone numbers were displayed, a lot of this nonsense would stop. One can dream.

Called at 11:25 am. Old lower your credit card interest rates scam. It is nice to know the do not call list is workign to protect us all!  Hah!

They are nothing but mutts I ancer there calls to make them mad at first but 5 calls a week are now getting me mad I am going to find one of you people and it won't be nice mofo

This # has been calling and no one talks. I am very upset as they awake me, and I work different shifts. I am getting really pissed. Please someone do something.

I received a call of this number this morning.  I answered it but nobody talked!  

It was the recorded message that it was the last warning to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  I don't have one and had to press 1 to get a live body.  A male with a middle-eastern accent answered and asked how my day was.  I answered "fine" and asked him which credit card he was calling about and he stated Master Card and Visa and I asked which one do I have, heard crickets and was promptly disconnected.

I then went to block the number on our shaw phone and it says the number is still blocked from the last time.  Now, to call shaw!
