Card Holder Services is back to calling my cell which is on the Do Not Call list

Got a call after clicking recently on internet ad about returning to school.  I answered since I know no bill collectors a looking for me and I have extended family members living in Jersy but no one said anything after I said hello twice so I just hung up and googled the number.  What is this scam all about?  I'm registered on the no call for home and cell yet receive these type calls at both!  It is irritating.

These jerks have been calling me for about a year and a half now. They spoof their numbers, so it's hard to block them. So far this week they have called three times, it doesn't do any good to tell them to remove your number they'll just call no matter what.

Got a couple of calls from this number...won't happen again...iPhone app "Blacklist" will take care of the problem if you download it and register the phone numbers that you don't want to receive calls from.

I keep getting calls from this number but never get anywhere.

Verizon will block several numbers at no cost to your account.

The keep on calling.  i would like to file a complaint.

We get calls from this number on a weekly basis. Calls to our home phone and both cell phones. It's either Ann or Karen from cards services to reduce interest rates. Twice over the course of a year I've managed to talk to a real person by calling their number back. The guy spoke lousy English and said they can not put you on a do not call list because our lousy "so called" president passed something requiring (by federal law) that we be notifed regarding lower our interest rates. What got me was he said that the federal law requires that we be notified at least "once" a year. I told him that we're notified on a weekly basis. He said he had no control over that. If you press the number to talk to someone and try to complain they hang up on you. Personally I think it might be a scam. You probably have to give them credit card info for them to pull up your account and then BAM they've got you. At times when they really tick me off...I press the number to speak with someone then blast them with my hand held air horn right into the phone. I'm sure that's left someone every bit as ticked as I am but I really dont' give a rats behind!

I have file 2 separate complaints at the National Do Not Call List about 609-227-4849. I wish that this company would crawl into a hole and die!! It keeps using my cell phone minutes!!

"Cardmember Services" is a scam organization. They call and try to get your credit card number, under the guise of eliminating debt.

The best way I've found to deal with them is to answer all their questions in the affirmative, and tell them that you'd love their help. When they ask for your credit card number, tell them you need to go get it, and then put them on hold until they hang up. Bonus points if you get back on the line periodically, and drag the call out even longer. If each of us can waste just 5 minutes of their time, we could throw a huge wrench into their scam.

Almost daily I receive a call from this number.  I've answered in an attempt to ask to have my number removed - as soon as a live person answers and hears my request, they hang up.  Tried calling back and always get a busy signal.  How can I make them stop?

Call from this number on my cell; no message. I've been keeping track of calls like this since the first of the year (you wouldn't believe how long the list is!!) and the same number called my cell Sept. 10. Same deal, no message left.

Calls themself "Card services", "Card member services", and a slew of other false names trying to lure an unsuspecting fool.  "Lower your interest rates", "There are no problems with your account", and a number of other language used.  Same people have called cell over 500 times, using different numbers every week.  Have reported to Wisconsin and Federal "do not call" admins as violators each time.  Really doubt it'll do any good since it could very well be a falsified caller ID.

Been getting these calls for months from a bunch of numbers.  I save them to the SPAM so I know not to answer next time... Also now I have a little list.  It is clearly a scam or phishing attempt.

The message is always the same, about "some good news" about "lowering your rates".  And then "press 1 for more information".

I have pressed one several times and tried various ways to politely ask to be removed from their list.  Last time I politely asked what business they were and they said "card services" and I asked, yes but who are you affiliated with?  Expecting something like "capital one" or "chase".  And the answer?  "Your Momma <click>".  They always hang up when I ask a question.

I keep getting calls I don't recognize and want to know if telemarketers are calling me even though I am on the Do Not Call List and live in a Do Not Call state. So I need to know who this is from.H8A4
